   What is the difference between trying to help someone by telling the truth and judging the person?

   This is a hard one.  I guess I would have to say that the difference would be in how you express yourself.  If you explain that you do not intend to do harm by telling the truth and that you are trying to do the right thing,  verses being critical, or to put the person down. I think its all in how  you use your words, and body language.  Hope this helped a little.

   truth is the difference through unbounded respect and love shown through help.
   however, judging is often referred to as a sort of love by those who judge.
   additionally, some describe helpful respect and love as judgment because they believe that all truthful respect and love is judgmental.
   the boundaries of truth are easily determined, however the space of judgment is boundless.

   It's actually pretty simple. Truth is based on fact. Judgement is based on perception and subject to interpretation.

   A lot of people hate me and call me a miss know it all here on hubpages. They think I am judging them.
   All I want to do is help people and they hate me. But I have to do it anyway.
   If I did not love them I would have given up the first time I received a threat by email, or a sexually explicit email meant to degrade and shock me. Each time I knew who it was and got their IP address, but instead of prosecuting them I prayed for them
   
   If you love someone, you tell them the truth even if it hurts and messes up your friendship

      I definitely agree with you. Many people don't like me because I tell the truth and it's not meant out of ill means so I don't consider it judging them. Some people will just never receive the truth like most pastors because of their ego/pride.

      True and the other reason  is that if they know the truth they know they will have to change and they don't want to.. My judging them is their excuse, they know I'm not
