What are the best natural skin remedies?

As it gets into the cold dry season, my skin always suffers.

I also have that same problem adapting to the different weather here in Croatia especially in the Autumn and and early Spring. I use Olive oil on my skin when I feel it is dry. A few drops  massaged over the dry skins will give it  a good feel.   If you feel your skin is oily then don't put on any olive oil.  Works for me always.

Put baby oil on your skin right after you get out of the bath or shower and dry off.  It will seal the moisture in.

I hope the water doesn't dilute it too much, thanks.

Have you tried coconut oil? It is a good one for dry skin during the cold weather. I use it to massage my hands and feet before I go to bed and I find in the morning I got nice smooth skin and not dry.

I love pure shea butter - not the watered down storebought stuff, but purchase good pure stuff from a supplier for those who make soap/lotion.  Also coconut oil (organic, raw) works very well at reducing inflammation and deeply moisturizing the skin.  Take Turmeric the spice, in supplement form and it can help your skin from the inside out as well.

If you are able, learn to make your own soaps and lotions - they'll be free from chemicals that further strip the skin that way.  I make oatmeal soap in the winter that is lovely on my skin during the dry season.

Also, omega-3's you can take a flax or fish oil supplement and that helps keep skin (and your heart) healthy.

Thanks Shea butter is good, once it's soft. And I've never though about making soap.

Like others here, I use coconut oil as a moisturizer. It works wonders for dry skin and it helps with any inflammation with the skin as well. Olive oil is also a great moisturizer. Tea Tree Oil is wonderful for breakouts on the face or for any skin abrasions, cuts, scrapes, etc.

    1. Rub  some olive, almond or coconut oil and massage lightly on to your hands, legs and the rest of your body before heading for a shower. If time permits, heat the oil and then apply.

    2. Milk cream makes for a very good moisturiser. Mix a few drops of lime, a tsp. of milk and two tsp. of milk cream and rub onto your hands and legs. Leave it on for a while before you head for a shower. You’ll see the difference immediately.

I too suffer the same problem but i do either one of these two things and would like to share it with you try it.
