What -BESIDES popcorn- is your favorite theater movie snack?

    Either ordinary theater or drive-in.

We like to mix in nori or m&ms into our popcorn for an added surprise and of course Icees to drink.

I'm naughty - I actually sneak in dried fruit (dried apples, cranberries together) which I nibble on!

It has been years since I went into a theater, but when I did....any of the candies...favorites were Baby Ruths, Goobers, and Whoopers.  Now if I go...it would have to be peanuts or Cashews....I may have to take a small bags in my purse, because I doubt if they are sold in most theaters.   I promised myself that I would go to a movie in 2014.  Somewhere, over the years, I developed this fear of closed in places.  I would like to get this fear under control....somehow.

I was always a fan of Whoopers, too. I'm sorry to hear about the problem. You're in my thoughts.

When I was a kid, I always used to share a box of snow caps with my mom when we went to the theater.  Now, it's so expensive I don't even bother with concessions, but back then it was somewhat more reasonable.  At our theater if is $14 for a small drink and popcorn - I'm not paying that lol.

ChristinS, I know what you mean. Outlandish prices in most theaters these days. Btw, my kids love the snow caps!

Actually none of it appeals to be because of the price. The movie industry did a good job over the years of convincing us we needed a drink and a snack to watch the movie. Movie prices are high enough.Eat before you go or go to a coffee shop or something after the movie to talk about it and enjoy a snack. I do not think you will spend any more that way and it will be more enjoyable. I know some people have to have a soft drink with them always. However, those mega-size cups are mostly ice. I just do not see it any more. I am old enough to remember when you could go to the second-run movie theater on Saturday, spend 50 cents on admission and still get popcorn, a drink and a candy bar.

Anything chocolate - M&Ms, Snocaps, those little mints. Like some of the other people mention, I won't pay the ridiculous price for the candy at the theater. I always stop at a store on the way and buy a few things and sneak it into the theater.

What a fun question,  I wish I could answer "besides popcorn."  I am a hopeless popcorn addict -- I just love the stuff.  If I had to make a choice, I would say the peanut butter cups.

I used to get Buncha Crunch. Once or twice I would get Gummi Bears instead. I actually don't like popcorn all that much because it gets stuck in my teeth or in my throat.

I only splurge on the snacks once in a while because concessions are ridiculously expensive but when I do, it's Junior Mints! Delicious!
