   Why do so many people have to constantly mention God in their comments on HubPages?
   
   No really... why? Even when the question or hub has NOTHING to do with religion, they have to bring god into it. What's the point? Just answer the question or respond to the hub like a normal human being and stop proselytizing everywhere, please. If I wanted to read about God, I'd focus on those hubs or pick up the bible. Why is religion seemingly so infused in user comments everywhere?

   Very good question. Some Christians would say I'm incorrect, but I only bring up God is the hub, question, etc is about religion or if the person wants to know why I hold a certain belief or opinion about something and those, for me, are based on my religious beliefs.

      I (as I am sure others) appreciate that.
      I am the same way with my beliefs. I don't feel a need to throw them out there where unrelated. And to be honest, when reserved for the right time, it evokes a more involved discussion rather than ire.

   I don't notice it all that often in my non-religious hubs. But, I do notice that it tends to get linked to other hot button issues. Like, if the discussion were about politics, many religious people might think things are bad because we don't have enough god in X, Y or Z. It could also be possible that you have internet stalkers. If it's the same person mentioning god on all your hubs then they might think they're saving you. In that scenario you would have to contact hubpages and express your concern.

      M.T. - Thanks for the answer. It's not on my hubs (fortunately), but it's on hubs of things that interest me and, in my opinion, it completely interrupts the flow of conversation.

   Usually in my case I use God if the hub question is related.  Most of the comments on my hubs have the word God in them.  Well most are my hubs are Christian related.  Sometimes I might run into a question that is a shade of gray.  For example, one time I responded to a question about assisted suicide and I responded as a Christian.

   Excellent question. From what I've seen the majority of people don't do this, and they only mention their respective deity or religion when such things are fitting to the discussion at hand. Unfortunately, some others cannot resist the temptation to proselytize. And to be fair, I have seen as many atheists do this as believers. I am at a loss for why anyone would feel the necessity to infuse every single comment with something about religion. If their intention is to convert others, I haven't seen any proof this is a successful method to go about it. On the other hand, if their intention is to just annoy others, demean other faiths/beliefs or just pat themselves on the back for intentionally flaming otherwise innocuous conversations, yeah I guess they can count themselves successful.

   I talk about God because I love God, and I want everyone to know about this wonderful and truly amazing God that I serve.
   
   I'll post about it if there is even the slightest mention of religion or spirituality. I want to, because it is important to me. It is something I am passionate about. Being free of the burden of sin is the most wonderful feeling, ever. Knowing that I am loved by God, because God loved me enough to forgive me of my sins, makes me want to share that with everyone.
   
   And if that bothers anyone, well, then I suppose I would have to wonder why that is. It boggles my mind that just talking about something, like Jesus Christ, makes people angry. They're just words.

      It isn't necessary to mention it at every  turn. Talk about it when it fits, that's totally fine and acceptable. But ti proselytize it is rude and arrogant, in my opinion.

      Any time is a good time to talk about salvation and forgiveness of sins. Lots of people really don't know.

      Might as well live as a hermit then, 'cause you're going to hear about things that you don't want to hear about all the time. I know I do.
      
      But I would be wary of asking questions, especially if I don't want to hear answers.

      I can't agree with that. Perhaps because I've a different take. I don't feel I need to do so. If people ask, I'll answer and that's enough. I'm not trying to antagonize. Just discuss

   I can't speak for others, but I know I mention God in whatever I can because He is just about everything that my life is about. Most of my decisions, perspectives, actions, words, thoughts, the love I show, etc. is completely based on God. If He and His ways were not my first thought, my life would go back to being a big mess. Plus, I just love giving Him the credit for everything He does. But like I said earlier, that's just why I mention Him so frequently. I'm sure everyone has their own reasons.
