I'm a College student. Help me?

I am a chemistry major. I can't pass chemistry 2. I want to be a doctor one day. I know you must be an A student for med school but I'm hoping my "never give up" attitude will show determination. I have questioned my major countless time. None of my professors will help me or just tell me the truth. I could use some advice from other college students, college grads who took similar major or just an adult who had difficulty finding their way in life.

well, I would like you to think about that, did you chose chemistry because love it, or you chose chemistry because you want to go to med school. If you did not choose chemistry because you love it and have fun with it, than you need to study really hard to achieve your goal.
another thing is you need to identify what your weakness is. like me, for example, I am psychology major, and I know that I am weak at biology, so I am spending more time to study neuroscience, endocrine system and a little bit other biology stuffs.
and eventually, are you spending too much time to concern about your future, stress can hurt, if you are thinking too much about your future, you might not able to focus what you are doing now.

just referring to my experience in uni, I don't know about your situation.

My weakness is weird almost. I can tutor others to understand chem but not prove I understand. I do love chem.

I thought you needed to major in Medicine to be an M.D.? But if you're certain a Chemistry degree will lead you to your career of choice, then the only thing you can do to get past those hurdles is to muscle through them.

The sciences are the hardest majors for a reason, and part of that reason is requiring a crazy amount of memorization. This aspect of Chemistry can be overcome with mnemonic devices (I think that's the phrase I'm looking for?), like imagining a complex chemical reaction like it's a movie, or turning a particular molecular structure into rooms in an identifiable building (Sulfur Hexafluoride is my house, Manganese Oxide is the local gas station, etc.).

Look up some of the tricks and secrets others have used to get through subjects they've had troubles with. Many people out there really are just like you, and they've come up with ways to overcome their limits that you can surely learn from.

Thank you for the advice. As long as you take the required classes to get in med school you can be any major. Even an english major can be a doctor.

Yes, it's normal students find some subjects are difficult. But nothing is impossible. Study hard, do hard work, no matter if you work late night, take your bf or parents as inspiration.

Do not limit your chemistry to your syllabus collect more info from web and other books,

if you can buy from amazon, here is the link www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0199697396/ref=r … 70-1761340 , thank you sister, if any mistakes forgive me smile
