   No. I have no reason to. I am content in my life, what it is, what it can be, and it ending. So I have no reason to believe in any deity.

   No, I do not. There is no reasonable way for me to believe that there is a  being who is in control of humanity.  Humans need to accept more accountability for their own actions instead of blaming our faults on Devils and being inherently "subpar" as per the teachings of most major religions.  If God were so powerful and created man in his image, then man wouldn't be struggling so much and life and evolving would be much easier.
   
   The belief in a deity may be comforting to some and I understand that; but I'm a realist.  In my mind "Gods" are man made constructs - an archetype of something to aspire to, but they are not "real" as in living outside of collective consciousness.  If there was one "true" sentient God, then surely there would be a way for this powerful being to show others that. 
   
   What we have instead is humans believing in a myriad of different Gods and Deities - and of course each one believing theirs is the "correct' or "true" God (deity).  This of course proves to me that God is a man made construct and not the other way around.
   
   I do believe we are all connected; that we are all "star dust" as the saying goes and we come from the same source material and that makes me feel a true part of life itself - moreso than any religious teachings ever did.  There is just as much awe, wonder and mystery in Science without the need for superstition. 
   
   I understand however that others have their own beliefs and so long as they are respectful towards me; I am towards them as well.  In the end, we are all just trying to live our lives and find our own answers.

   I don't believe in a deity but I do occasionally find myself fascinated by the stories constructed around them - in the Bible, in mythology, in ancient manuscripts and on stone.
   When humans first started to draw and paint on cave walls I think the ideas bubbling up from this creativity gave rise to the notion of other beings somehow controlling life and all of nature from within and without - up above somewhere - in the sky, the stars and planets - and in the elements - water, earth,fire, air. The world was alive with these spiritual deities and, yes, they were eventually manipulated by those in power so the order of things could be maintained.
   I think the idea of an omnipotent deity is incredible, someone who created all that we experience out of nothing and who can, if they so wish, take everything away, like a mean magician bored of their own trick.
   
   The fact that humans have initiated wars because they want to determine who in their opinion is the best magician is just insane.
   
   I have nothing against anyone believing in any deity they choose, as long as their practice and beliefs do not directly impinge negatively on my lifestyle, freedoms and family.

   No!  Why?  For the word "deity" is no where in Scripture!
   
   Religion defines "deity" as a Supreme Being that can be more than one God!  In their definition, the deity of Jesus is the second "person" of the holy Trinity!  Now I ask, if God is a Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is a Spirit, where are the two other "persons"?  From this question, you can be assured that I do not believe in the holy Trinity either! I can not find the words "deity" or "trinity" in Scripture.  Revelation 22:18 says "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall "add" unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book;"
   
   When Jesus arose from the dead in Matthew 28:18, He said, "...All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."  If He has "all power" where is God?  On the couch asleep somewhere?  I don't think so!  For Jesus is God!

      Whether or not the word deity is in your bible is irrelevant. The definition of deity is "of divine status, quality or nature."  The Christian god definitely qualifies.
