How do you get rid, of pesky mosquitos?

You could use sprays or burn coils.  I have a lot of geckoes in my house and they really keep the mosquitoes down.

I will have to give those coils a try, maybe they will keep the little things away.

Believe me i hate them like poison too.... I'm from Jamaica and i can recall  getting upset to the point where i walked around my house and killed 75 mosquitoes by hand. that's right i actually counted. But i felt better after that, my anger was gone and their numbers were fewer...

However i would encourage that you light a mosquito coil in an enclosed area (it helps to concentrate the coils effectiveness faster).

Eat garlic, I hear that repels those bugs.  Remember they are like vampires.

Citronella. That's what's in the coils Paul mentioned. There's also tiki torches and what not that contains the herb, or you can get the plant itself.

That will keep them out of an area, but if you're moving around, there's sprays like 'off.'

They breed in standing water, and it doesn't take much. Check around for water sources like buckets that have been rained on and such.

Off doesn't work for me, but I will give those coils a try.

I usually use the spray or some sort of candle designed to keep insects away. For outdoors there are different coverings you can buy, which is great for a party or barbecue. Don't ever have standing water lying around either and avoid being outdoors in the early evening about an hour before sunset. I'm sure there are many more products designed to eliminate them, and that's important considering the disease factor for a few of them.

You could make sure there's no icky stagnant water nearby. That might help. It attracts them and gives them a breeding area.

Make sure you have no standing/stagnant water on your property or near by. Minimize Co2 output from you and your acquaintances and invest in a "Therma" Cell lamp/lantern for your patio area. It is effective at repelling black flies, mosquitoes, and other flying nuisances. The "Therma" Cell lamp is significantly effective within a 15 x15-foot area.
