Can we still search for specific topics of hubs written under a general topic?

I wanted to search hubs written under a specific topic under the general topic, but I don't see where I can do that under the general topic on the topic page.  It seems all I can do is scroll down through all of the hubs, but I thought we used to be able to type in a word search and hubs on that word would come up.  When I type in a word under the "HubPages Search" it just takes me to a hubber.  Is there a way to check hubs so that we don't write on the same topic as another without having to scroll through all the hubs under a general topic?  Thank you for answering.

Hi Faith. When on the Topic page, see the box on the right (shaded) for All Topics. Scroll down the list till you find the topic you want and click. Sub-topics list will then come up, click on the one you want.

Thanks Phyllis. I did that but there are so many under the specific topic and I thought I could search specifically for a key word under the general topic instead of having to scroll through all the hubs?

Oh - okay. That is the only way I know of, Faith. You can go to SEO, type in the topic and HubPages and see what comes up.

Oh, okay, guess I will do that.  I thought for sure we could search somehow under a specific keyword and only those hubs would come up.  Guess not.  Thank you for answering!

Search using Google with the Site instruction. For instance, suppose you want to learn about sharpening kitchen knives. The closest HubPages topic is Home-Kitchen or Home-Kitchen-Cookware. Searching Google on:
site:hubpages.com sharpen knives kitchen OR cooking
lists lots of hubs about sharpening kitchen knives.

Or suppose you are interested in crazy quilting. The closest HubPages topic is Arts and Design - Sewing and Sewing Patterns - Quilting. A Google search on:
    site:hubpages.com crazy quilt OR quilting
finds hubs on that specific topic.

I don't know why HubPages does not have a built-in, site-specific Google search.

Perfect, Brian!  Thank yo so much for that is exactly what I am looking for, and you're right, why doesn't HP have a built-in, site-specific Google search?  I believe I have my answer.  Thank you again!
