   So the goverment will be getting rid of Pennies,what do you think of this?
   
   I like pennies, unlike most.
   My husband hates pennies and prices like 1.99
   So....
   will this make our lives easier

   Save a few; different years if possible.  They will become collectors items.   Also, you'll find people will make jewellery such as necklaces out of them in a few years.

   I like pennies, but I have heard that they cost more to mint than they are worth, so it makes fiscal sense.
   
   The Feds have been saying that they were going to get rid of them for several years. Do they really have definitive plans? If so, when is the last minting date?
   
   What are the plans for businesses and for people making change?

   They did it in Canada a while ago and it's nice!  I don't use cash/change all that often but I always found pennies to be a bit of a pain.  Basically they just round prices to the nearest 5 cents, so something that costs $3.92 would be $3.90, something that costs $5.84 would be $5.85, etc.  For the first several months after it was implemented you'd be able to drop pennies off at banks and they'd donate the sums to various charities.

   i do missed cents and pennies, our country still use ten cents and above. The government isn't using 1 cent and 5 cents anymore

   This idea makes the rounds every couple of years and it still hasn't happened yet... last I heard the gov't was simply "considering" it, so there's still nothing definite.
   Besides, even if they stopped minting new pennies today, there are so many millions of them in circulation already that it would probably be quite a few years before anyone even noticed.

      True it would take a long time to wipe them out.Wishing wells will be more expensive now.
