Do you really make some money by placing Amazon adds on your hubs?
I have been thinking about placing some adds on my hubs, lately.
Is it worth the effort?
Only if they're products that people visiting the hub will want to buy. Just throwing random products on the same topic won't generate any sales.
Yes, I try to put relevant products on there, but so far people haven't clicked on the ads.
Maybe some products sell more than others. I placed some related to astronomy, a while ago, but nobody clicked on them.
Almost every day something comes up in Amazon. It cycles because I share the bounty with Hubs. It's not a lot but it's mine. It's fun seeing it each day.
I think only a few hubbers make money out of this ad. I couldn't get anything so far.
I just sold $450 worth of Amazon stuff this month, and got a cut of that. This adds up over time and can definitely double or triple your HP revenue.
I make several hundred dollars a year from my Amazon ads. It depends on the time of year (Christmas generally increases my sales). I also write ebooks and publish them on Amazon and write hubs about them and then link them to Amazon. So I get paid for the link and for the book sold. At this point though, I don't see how hupages actually claims that we make money. It doesn't feel like they are accurate in their money earned figures. I also get paid back for purchases I make online. You can go to this article to see how I do that. http://nikawest.hubpages.com/hub/Do-you … -purchases
I started placing amazon ads on some of my hubs, hoping to see anything coming from them. What kinds of books do you sell on amazon? I´m interested in that, as well.
I probably should write more marketing or how to write a Kindle book. (That's in the works.) But my latest book is the poor man's guide to buying a house. http://www.amazon.com/Guide-Buying-Mode … 1_1?ie=UTF
For me it's hit and miss. All of my hubs have at least one Amazon ad but I rarely get a sale. I make more from the HubPages ad program.
I think it's my fault though. My hubs don't get the massive traffic because I don't write about popular things. Writing content that consistently draws in the audience that will click and buy? Not my expertise.
"Is it worth the effort?" It's not a lot of effort for me so I still do it.

When was the last time you earned anything from placing an e-Bay Ad?I sometimes wonder why I bother placing e-Bay ads on my Hubs.. In the two years I have been writing here, I have never received one dime, Is it as likely as my landing on the moon?

I don't think I ever set up Amazon right. I have not made a single cent in the 2 months I've...been here, is this normal? I have through Adsense, so I'm wondering what I've done wrong with Amazon?

I just wanted to start a topic in the forum to see how well some people are doing with their hubs. I've been a member for almost a month and made about $7.50. Feel free to leave how much you make per month and advice for others as well. Thank you!

Have you started earning yet with the news Amazon program here on Hubpages? What is your take about it?

I think it would be so good if we can add the zazzle products to our hubs via Zazzle Capsule just like We do it for Amazon. It will help us improve traffic and of course earnings.

Published a hub on Oklahoma (please don’t get started on how it might be too generic – I had fun doing it). It became the template for my following hubs on Arizona and New Mexico. The Oklahoma one published just fine. The Arizona and New Mexico ones are now Not Featured due to Quality....
