Why does it bother some people that some people are LGBT? Why are they so obsessed with
the LGBT community?
As Jlpark put it - FEAR is the reason that some people are obsessed with LGBT or anything outside of their comfort zone. They live in fear of saying the wrong thing or doing the wrong thing, and obviously, they are afraid of even THINKING the wrong thing! Idiots, all of them.
These days people are afraid of their own shadows.
Like Kim Davis. She seems so obsessed with LGBT people!
To gwm, if this is a good thing why do you open the subject with such grotesque images, and you do this with many topics why do you bring on negative and sad feelings in your questions of analyzing
You start off by staging the question negative
Fear, and ignorance......oh, and for some, repressed homosexuality.
I've noticed that those who are most obsessed with LGBT seem to think more about the sex lifes of said people, that the community itself thinks about sex in general! Its bizarre how many well-known anti-gay people seem to think they know what I, and other LGBT, get up to in the bedroom, at the club or in public.....and honey, they are so far from right it's ridiculous. Their ignorance shows, by them letting their fear of someone hitting on them, or them having to deal with it in their own lifes (children, siblings, etc) run their mouth for them.
Often however, the most VEHEMENTLY homophobic are often hiding the fact that they are gay - even from themselves...(yes, it can be done). It's these people you find in compromising positions with the pool boy (and are usually married...so...double whammy)
Fear is a funny thing - and people will do anything to avoid it. Unfortunately, in the case of LGBT people and those who 'fear' them - a little education would solve a lot of it - but most are resistant.
Really I do not think this fits all people being obsessed over another lifestyle.
I think that it is the very opposite
The words and letters explain itself
To stand out different then others,
Who created the title ? I Google the meaning so that I could be more clear of your understanding. And this is what comes up.
LGBT Rights | Human Rights Watch
Human Rights Watch › topic › lgbt-rights
Mobile-friendly - Sexual orientation and gender identity are integral aspects of our selves and should never lead to discrimination or abuse. Human Rights Watch works for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people's rights, with activists representing a multiplicity of identities and issues.
It all has to do with sexual rights and choices, Jpark says no.it not about sex.
Now I am confused again.
Not obsessed but trying to get a peaceful answer. Is that possible.
Sexual orientation is attraction/love for opposite, or same (or both). It's not necessarily about sex - is your heterosexual relationship about sex, and only sex? Some of it is sex, most of it is not - same for gay people.
But why use the letters, why use the words
Sex if it has nothing to do with it, like you just said I do not use the word heterosexual
In my identity of choice, why do you use LGBT as title , why use any title.
You don't need to use heterosexual because society's default is to assume you are. When you aren't, there are a number of things that are slightly different - healthcare needs, family issues, amongst others are different + may need diff approach.
Jpark, we all are assumed human, until we add details, then it turns bias, but people already know this is the case.
But I must say I do not want to know of sexual preferences, that should not be my buisness. But what we all do is certainly God's
KT - "we are all assumed human" - if only that were true. In my profession it can and does help to know orientation - as I work in health - I can taylor information to be appropriate to situation. Discrimination is rife n health care still for LGBT.
Jpark I understand it is your Job to know , being in the health care field, My daughter also works in this field as well they can not discriminate it is against the law where she works. But also it would be against God's law as well , love neighbor.
I've developed an unusual and unfortunate phobia of gay people, particularly gay men, because I am a recluse and very socially awkward and anxious and so gay people tend to weild their gaydar upon me and all of a sudden I am a closet homo. Usually when I am disagreeable which is pretty much always. The ironic thing is I'm the type of person that is most accepting of such societal issues, but now it is hard to not be slightly afraid when a gay person is looking at me, let alone anybody. I thought I'd just throw that out there as a unique addition to the topic.
Well good grief, are you afraid of being raped or what? Maybe they are just finding you attractive enough to inquire if you want to become friends. It's just rumor that people have gaydar.
Not every gay person is trying to come on to you or have sex with you. Maybe they're just trying to be friendly? Just putting that out there. Your assumptions may be making things worse for you is all. But I do get the recluse stuff makes it hard
I understand that almost all fear is irrational and letting your own experiences, a small sample from big pool, dictate your expectations of the future is also irrational.

Why is homosexuality such a hotbed issue? As a Christian I don't believe I have the right to make judgements. I also think it's interesting how we are supposed to be living with love in our hearts as Christ did but so many drag out the old testament when it's serves their purpose. Ham, Noah son...
