It's OK I guess....but I'd like it better if it paid more.

I like my job as a personal care assistant for my Mom so she can remain living at home.  Otherwise, she would need to go to a nursing home. Plus, its nice to be back home where I grew up.  Its nice to get paid for something I would be doing anyway.

I retired in 2010, living as an expat in Japan ever since. That was over 5 years ago. I've dreamed of early retirement since I was a teenager and now I have it. Yeah, I like it.

I'm happy but something is missing lately. I want to test my mettle again. Throw my elbows and see what I can do with myself. I want to meet new people and build something with them. Learn new things/skills and do something with them. The extra money would be nice too.

I guess the grass is greener on the other side...

Congrats on that Goal achievement! In a boat somewhat similar on disability I seek those too discovering some here at HP. A little Calif native plant gardening too with both failed experiments and successful. Learning is fun :-)

I have worked a whole lot of different jobs. I never found a job I could not find something to like about. At the risk of sounding all weird: It is not a particular job that someone likes, it is the art of doing any job well that someone should like.

I cannot say I like my job or not, I can say I don't hate it but I hardly hate anything anyway.

To be honest, I am still trying to find my favourite job, self employee or not.

I have four jobs which one are you asking about? Just kidding. I like the four jobs that I work because they get me closer to my goal of being an entrepreneur.

I really enjoy teaching martial arts.  It pulls on my heartstrings occasionally, but it has equally exciting moments as well!  I get to use both my mind and my body and change peoples' lives while I'm at it!

No for many reasons. I'm in the process of transitioning into my dream job.

I did while it is still in my heart and tends to be on my mind. Since leaving a fruitful career of  over 40 yrs. in the automotive field I have a passion. I am still an enthusiast of drag racing (NHRA) keeping me focused on a once explored job early in life (6 yrs.) The main career was in the Tire & Service industry at the same corporate entity (26 Yrs.).

I loved working there and love my occasional visits while watch their ads being critical LOL. I was fortunate to advance that proverbial ladder of success though some was not upward being horizontal with different responsibilities. Each a challenge.

My job today? I am struggling with my new job. I did not love the most recent years with career development. Surviving on a fixed income most also do. Chores of course said with a giggle + giggle. Monitoring my disabilities. I do love the relationships with my doctors. I love playing mostly at HP and some gardening. But, I look forward to the future with a bit of glee and hope in my heart :-)

I used to love my job until we merged and now the older experienced employees have gotten lost in the shuffle of new inexperienced "Know-nothings" that are basically here long enough to make waves and leave. We are being replaced by the fly-by-nighters, in other words. I do like the money, though, and stay because of it. My salary has nearly doubled since the take-over 10 years ago. I work a lot less for more money, and people tell me that I shouldn't complain about that. However, I am a career professional and the work meant a lot to me.

I'm a Bus driver and I can truthfully say I love my job! The job itself is enjoyable because I'm outside all the time but yet not outside if that makes sense!
I'm outside and able to enjoy the sun, yet I'm sat in an air conditioned bus. I can smell the flowers (thankfully don't get hayfever) and enjoy the sights, driving down by our river is always special and even though I do the trip two or three times each day I'm tempted to park up and just enjoy the view.
The thing that I most enjoy about the job is the people, from the newborn to the 99 year old, the happy to the grumpy, they all bring something special, even the complainers can 'put a smile on the dial'
I've written a couple of hubs on it so feel free to look them up.
    Lawrence
