Do you believe the Holy Bible is Black history?
. . . . and if Black people obey more commandments throughout the Bible we would be a powerful nation (economically)?
No.
I don't see the bible as being a factual "historical document".
It contains stories and parables. People read into it differently which explains why there are so many different denominations using the same book! If it helps you use it. Race is unimportant!
I believe God made man and man made religion.
Lots of people from various other religions who never have read the bible or those who may be atheist are economically successful.
Figuring out what you want to do, having a plan of execution, & surrounding yourself with a team of people to help you get there is key. Ambition, determination, and absolute belief in oneself.
No, I do not believe that the Bible is Black history. I do believe that it is a historical document and that it is a book that has had a large effect on history, but that is not the primary purpose of the Bible.
The Bible should be viewed firstly as a religious text; for Christians, the infallible Word of God that directs our faith and guides our thoughts and actions. The Bible is the story of Salvation, starting with the Old Testament where we see that man cannot earn his way to God, because man is incapable of fully obeying all of God's commands and leading into the New Testament, where we are taught that Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life, so that we no longer have to. He took upon himself the punishment we justly deserved and now we are heirs of the Kingdom of God with him.
"The Lord sends rain on both the righteous and the wicked". You cannot earn God's favor by attempting to obey all of his commands. James says "He who breaks one law is guilty of breaking all of them." But all those whom have been washed with water and the Word (Baptism) are saved and have favor from God through Jesus Christ.
Also we are told by Jesus himself that we are to expect troubles in this life. There could be a nation that is completely Christian, but this country would still experience suffering, after all "a servant is not greater than his master".
So, no attempting to obey (for we have already seen it is impossible to obey) all of the commands in the Bible will not advance our country economically or in any other way.
Instead remember that you already have the favor of God, through the grace of God, which is a free gift given to you in Christ Jesus and also remember that though you are called to join in the suffering of Jesus, you will also join in his Glory, not in this world, but in the world to come.
The Bible is JEWISH History! Most of its events take place in the Middle East and North Africa! It's amazing how people don't realize this!
We could all benefit from following the Ten Commandments.

How do we know if we understand the correct context when we study the Holy Bible?I have often wonder why we sometimes if not often misunderstand the context of chapters and/or verses when we study God's word. One can read a verse or chapter a number of times believing they understand it's meaning ,...

Since Vector7 has apparently succeeded in creating a forum thread forbidding anyone who wishes to disagree with the topic to post--some posts have been removed already-- i thought I'd try and do the same here. Here's his thread: ...
