   Jehovah is a transliteration of a non-existent word. When the Jewish community called the Masoretes were copying the Old Testament, they copied the consonants for God's name (YHWH), but because they believed it should never be spoken, they put the vowels for Adonai (which means Lord) on the consonants, to remind the reader to say "Adonai," not Yahweh. Around the twelfth century, this mixture of vowels and consonants was transliterated into Yehovah, which became Jehovah in English via Tyndale and the Geneva Bible.

      That doesn't change the name in Hebrew. The Jews had specific names for God the Father. The question was is Jehovah in the Bible?

      Kris:  God looks @ heart!  If you think Jehovah is name of GOD & have "studied" man removed, it's OK & will "look @ heart" to see u r worshiping HIM!  However, 1 CANNOT erase the FACT of Phil 2:9-11 for IT IS WRITTEN NEW COVENANT:Where we NOW

   Here the world (RELIGION) go (goes) AGAIN!  "RELIGION" IS SATAN'S GREATEST DEVICE TO LOSE SOULS AND HE'S LAUGHING, ENJOYING THE ACTIONS OF "BELIEVERS" FOLLOWING "MAN" (RELIGION) AS "SHEEP BEING LEAD TO SLAUGHTER! 
   
   MY GOD!  ANYTIME you see GOD, JESUS, LORD, CHRIST, JEHOVAH, in Bible, you are speaking of that "ONE SPIRIT" whose NAME (JESUS) we SHOULD "bow down" Philippians 2:9-11 "Wherefore, God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a NAME (JESUS) which is (NOTICE) ABOVE "EVERY NAME," (DID YOU HEAR? "ABOVE EVERY NAME?) THAT AT THE NAME OF JESUS (WHO?) "JESUS" EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth, And that EVERY TONGUE SHOULD CONFESS that JESUS CHRIST IS Lord (Portion of SAME SPIRIT who was subjected to sin by coming into sinful world for us) to the GLORY of GOD, the Father."  You see, Jesus is One of God's MANY GLORIES but THE SAME (ONE) SPIRIT=GLORIES (Ephesians 4:4-6)!   
   
   JESUS SAID, "I AM" alpha & omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." and again in Isaiah 43:11 "I, even "I, AM" the LORD (JESUS), and beside me there is NO SAVIOR (JESUS)" (Witness Scripture Hosea 13:4)!
   
   John 17:5 confirms Jesus is "The First and The Last" in Revelation which says "...with the "GLORY" I had with the before the world was" and in Genesis 1:26 which says "...let US.."  Can't you "SEE" that "ONE SPIRIT" (Ephesians 4:4-6)? 
   
   WORD says Father and Son and MOST continue to look "literally" as father and son when GOD was "TRYING" to relate to "mere man!"  But since one wishes to listen to RELIGION and not "Worship in the Spirit" (John 4:24) they will NEVER "SEE" THE GREATEST ALLEGORY IN SCRIPTURE, which is the GLORIES of GOD!
   
   Father is not a name, son is not a name, Holy Spirit has a Name (John 14:26 "...Whom the Father will send "IN MY NAME" (JESUS), so why do you say (Matthew 28:19) "...in the name of the Father (which is Jesus), in the name of the Son (Jesus) and in the name of the Holy Spirit (Jesus according to John 14:26 above)!  Consider, if your check was written out to you in the name of father, son and spouse, would the bank cash it?  NO!  For that is NOT your name, but titles (glories)!  ALL of GOD'S GLORIES have a Name - "JESUS!"
   
   Therefore,  Matthew 13:10-13 {paraphrasing} "Those who do not have the Holy Spirit CANNOT "SEE," II Corinthians 4:3 "If our gospel be hidden it is hidden to those who are lost" and Proverbs 14:12;16:25 "There is a way that SEEMETH RIGHT unto man" is confirmed!
