This may seem like a silly question but how does one increase their Hub Rating.  I am always near 16

When I look at ratings, I see people around 88, 90 and above....but, yet, I am between 16 and 20 most of the time..How does one increase their Hub rating and is it important?

Write some hubs and post them. You must have took most of your previous published hubs down as it is only showing one hub on your profile page and it says you have forty some.

No, they should be there until you delete them.

Hub score average affects Hubber score. I hope that helps.

Marc, I took a quick look at one of your hubs and have to say it falls far short of what HubPages wants to see in a stellar hub. In fact, from that hub it seems you haven't really studied at all what it takes to be a successful writer here. For example, that hub has less than 400 words, which is very short. HubPages would ideally like to see twice or three times that many. And that's only one of a number of issues with that hub.

My suggestion is that you start by working your way through the Learning Center to find out what it takes to write successful hubs. You can find it at http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/contents

Next, you should read the hubs of writers who are successful here and see how their hubs are structured. I think those two steps will greatly help you in getting a feel for how to raise your hubber rating, and more importantly, produce articles people will want to read.

I think you have the skills to be a good writer here on HubPages, and I hope you can put in the time and work it takes to make that happen.

Thanks for the advice.  By the way a friend of mine has done extensive research on Box Brown and turned his life into a movie......
