Has World War Three already started?

We have seen huge migrations away from hideous war zones. Every country on the earth is now involved in a continuous battle with extremists. Isn't this really WW3? Are governments in denial about WW3? Are they in denial because it's "bad for the economy" unlike past wars?

I believe that World War 3 would have technically started during the heavy part of the "War on Terror" if right now is going to be marked in history books as WW3. America, if history repeats itself, will be in the dark until way more than 6 million or however many died in the holocaust. So if our populations have doubled since then, we'll find 12 million people enslaved in other countries when we decide to join the war. I don't think it's so much that they think it's bad for the economy, but that it might cause uproar in America if they were to tell the public that there was a world war going on anywhere but here. Again, this is all IF there's WW3 going on right now; I wouldn't go as far to say as I know that. Just my opinions on the matter. I have all kinds of thoughts on WW3. smile

Thanks Alexis for those thoughts. It could be a Claytons war: "the war you have when you're not really having a war"(like the Claytons non alcohol drink: the drink you have when you're not having a drink)smile

Some say it has already begun.  But many will be in denial until either Obama gets out of office and a real leader (we hope) comes, or something goes down in the USA and we can no longer hide our heads in the sand.

It's difficult to deal with a widespread crazy quasi cult. It is a bit unique and hard to grapple. Maybe new insect sized bots will get em.

To be frank the present scenario is not WW III. But yes, it is prelude to WWIII. The present sporadic fighting could lead to the third world war. One cannot be sure who will be the winner for the west still considers Russia as the greater danger than ISI, which any case is the creation of the CIA, from Afghan days

It feels like a slow burn kind of war. A bit like the old historical "hundred years war" which dragged on forever.
