This morning my kid wakes up all happy and cheery.  She starts talking about a white light.  She said it made her happy.  I said, "Did you meet God?"

She shakes her head yes.  I said, well what did he say.  She goes, he said, "I love you" and he like hugs and kisses.

I don't talk about god with my kid, she is only three.  This is all her.

If I were God, this is how I would introduce myself to everyone. No interpreters needed.

When I was about three, I remember seeing a "ghost" in my room.  After I screamed, my mother came in to comfort me. I know, now, that there are no such things as ghosts.

Speaking of which...Yesterday my bf asked her.  Hey are there any other kids in the house?  She replies, yes.  Jeff says, well is it a boy or a girl.  She says it is a girl about her age.

This was after the same toy went off by itself again in the middle of the day yesterday.  Morgan walks over and turns it off.  Then another toy, a toy truck starts to move.

Either Morgan has kinetic energy or a sixth sense.

I think this is a hub.
        "Poltergeist: the Light Side".

        "They're baaaaaaccckk. And I'm smiiiiiiillliiiiiing."

Funny stuff aside, this really would make a great hub. Interview your child and report about her experience.

        Cool!

But what she actually said was that she saw a white light? It was you that mentioned god? So maybe you jumping to that conclusion led her to believe that it was god she saw? I guess that dreams can be pretty powerful for kids.... as its all new to them. Just a thought.

sandra rinckposted 14 years agoin reply to this

True but how does it speak?  However it works out or what actually transpired, vivid dream.  The point is she drew this from herself.

I guess that we would all have to have the dream to know just how she felt..... but whether it was god, or just a damn cool dream, for a 3 year old..... its all good in my eyes big_smile

It's a good point, but she obviously felt something good in the light. Maybe it's easy for us to put words in our kids mouths at time, but I think it would be pretty much irrefutable that something was good in the light. She didn't come running in scared out of her wits. She was happy to share a great experience.

Having said that Ryan, I think you are spot on about the bit of so easily putting words in our kids' mouths. So true.

Make sure you write it down in journal for her Sandra!  I keep a journal of all the cute things my son does now so i can remind him how cute he was when he is a teenager...
