Do you believe that Donald Trump is going to build a wall or he is tricking his supporters?

I do not know about tricking his supporters, but the proposed wall is not going to happen as it is technically illegal based on the current laws and treaty with Mexico over the Rio Grande.  Much of the land on the border is protected wildlife land for which a wall would violate the migratory path of endangered species.  So first certain environmental laws would need to be changed.  Then we have a treaty with Mexico concerning the Rio Grande, and so for large stretches of the land the wall would actually have to be built miles inland on the US side thereby walling off US land on the other side. There currently stands some walls on the border which sit on land which do not violate federal and international law, but a full fledged wall cannot happen without major changes to federal law and Mexico agreeing to re-write the Rio Grande Treaty

Laws can be changed but have not been with the politicians nesting in office. You think laws are more important than protecting the US and its people from illegal drug, human trafficking, &weapons smuggling. Yes, much of the problem is the drug u

@Brad - There are already laws in place which attempt to protect us. It is ALREADY ILLEGAL to import illegal drugs, humans, & weapons! What makes you think a stupid wall is going to change things?

Saudi Arabia hired Raytheon, a defense contractor, to build a multi-layer fence, ditch and tower fence all the way around Yemen and another several hundred mile wall between it and Iraq. For tens of millions of dollars, to keep out the terrorists.
Yes, we can build a wall to keep out illegal immigrants. It doesn't have to be 20 foot masonry. It can be ditches between several layers of barbed wire and chain link fence, with patrols and the political will to send people trying to cross it back.

The main reason to build the wall is to prevent or severely reduce the illegal drugs, human trafficking, and weapon smuggling. The drug cartel makes over $25 billion a year. They and not the Mexican govt are our neighbors. Illegal immigrants bonus

No, people have been talking about fixing immigration for decades and it hasn't happened. Even Trump's ego isn't enough to overcome the momentum which prevents solutions, especially idiotic ones like his wall.

Is he tricking them? That's not the word I would use. Is he pulling a rabbit from his butt to entertain children? Yep, but I don't consider that trickery. It is ignorance, stupidity, and childishness. If people believe it then they deserve whatever they get.

Obviously. But please don't pretend Trump is worth breaking out facts for. I wouldn't waste time or breath on it.
