What does true happiness depend on?

Can a person truly be happy in this day and age despite one's circumstances? True happiness depends on our walking in God's law (Psalms 119:1-8). If we do this, God will consider us "faultless" in our way, or as a person keeping or holding fast to their integrity. Being faultless does not mean we're perfect, but it does indicate that we are striving to do God's will. Noah "proved faultless among his contemporaries" as a man who "walked with the true God" (Genesis 6:9, 1st Peter 3:20). No doubt Noah and his family found true happiness in doing God's will unitedly as a family and as individuals.

As a living being, I believe true happiness depends simply on life and money.

Being alive, you could do countless things that you enjoy. Spend a date with your lover or perhaps hang out with friends. Might was go out trip with your family.

But simply being alive, doesn't exactly mean you could survive. Money has been one of the most important necessity in today's money. Without money, regardless of you can't buy things you love, you would starve and possibly die. Thus, money is necessary to purchase the things you need as well as you love.

In my religion, there is a liturgy called the Charge of the Goddess, that has a part that says: "for if that which you seek, you find not within yourself, you will never find it without."

I have found in my life, in my experience, for this to be true of happiness. It's not something you can find outside of yourself to make you happy (not for long, anyway). You have to find it from within first.

For me, I've found happiness within from
    - not taking things for granted; life is a beautiful gift, a wondrous journey. I treasure it and stand in awe of it. I try to live in the moment, embrace experiences, as well as those Iove.
    - always trying my best, doing what I think is right, trying to learn and grow, etc. I may make mistakes but that's only part of the learning process.
    - focusing on what's really important; trying to not sweat the details and see the bigger picture.
    - realizing that I am in control, I hold the reigns, and it's up to me to guide myself along my path.
    - and of course, my relationship with my Gods, exploring and expressing my spirituality, etc. has been an incredibly important and rewarding part of my life that has given me so much.

With these things, I've found true happiness, it's brought me to a place of deep peace and appreciation for everything.

The five cardinal sins are Greed, Anger, Attachments, Lust and Ego. There are many sub-cetegories, if you like, springing from the original five, such as loneliness, insecurity, fear, jealousy ...

An impure Heart will struggle to attract Grace, which is ever present. Receptivity is paramount, hence the necessity in all faiths for spiritual practice (praying, praising, singing, meditation, reading, serving...) They widen the Heart, the inner vessel and will make us receptive to the Higher Forces raining down from Heaven.

The Spirit is very difficult to attract without Love. God-men keeps coming with the same message, and will continue to do so, until it becomes meaningful to us, and affects our lives.

True happiness depends on Jesus Christ. I am not a complete person with out Jesus Christ in my life. My happiness deeply depends on him in my life.

Yes...yes. Inner happiness depends on one's faith...devotion to   the Ideal, One just needs to accommodate the fact that the Ideal may differ from person to person, like a rose from a dahlia, but both enhancing the beauty of the garden. Much Love.
