Maybe I"m being impatient...Again!!

   I haven't had a single click in nearly three weeks, and nothing from amazon either. Some of my pages are on the front page of Yahoo, and the second page of Google, but nobody's clickin! Do I need to set up a big neon green arrow on my pages that says "Click Here!!", or what?

      Actually don't do that, as that's forbidden in the AdSense TOS.
      
      Are your writing about topics that have a retail focus?  That seems to be the best way to create Hubs that produce clicks.  Looking at your Hubs, I'm not sure that suicide or prayer are the type of topics that really drive sales.

         I read your article- and then went and tried the keywords- and will do more of your ideas. I have been on here 11 days- I msut be making progress because I am getting clicks;  not on Amazon though.

      To answer the heading of the thread - yes, you're being impatient. 
      
      I think I've mentioned more than once, most people make little or no money here in their first 3 months.  I've noticed a couple of people recently who are doing much better than that - but they've been working elsewhere on the internet for a while, so they have a head start.
      
      Be patient, you're on the right track, traffic will come.

      How many pageview you are getting everyday??? nearly 100 pageview are needed to earn something everyday. Write so many hubs. Change the title of your old hubs. (for this study keywords...this information maybe available on another thread)Write and edit still you get more than 100s of pageview everyday!

      Patience is needed if your trying to make money with hubpages.  Most people don't see a lot of return in their amazon sales with hubpages.  Although, it does happen.  Adsense, you need to get volume.  Continue writing hubs, shoot for 30 to 40 hubs and if you have picked the right keywords you should start seeing some adsense return if your getting good traction in the search engines.

   Big neon signs are against the TOS? Well, that's no fun.
   
   I know what you mean about the prayer and suicide topics, those were among the first things I wrote, and so weren't as focused as some of my newer stuff.
   
   I wrote a hub reviewing the leap frog children's education dvd's, and it's one of the hubs that's near the top of the search rankings, but I'm getting very little traffic from it, and no clicks, or Amazon hits. The same is true about my homeschooling hubs, which offer resources from Amazon, that nobody seems to be interested in.
   
   I've read your hub a couple of times and learned a lot from it. Thanks for your help.

   Writing about popular subjects doesn't guarantee clicks because you are competing with 5M other writers on this same topic unless you have a totally different angle. Clicks doesn't happen overnight nor can we ask for them. Sux yeah, but it's got be natural occurring event

   I understand impatience and I struggle daily for patience. I want instant gratification and it's not happening.
   
   But part of my problem is finding the right subjects to write about that'll not only earn me clicks but that I enjoy writing. I'm selfish. I want both.

      There's no point in second-guessing, Gemsong.  The best plan is just to write what you enjoy writing, on a variety of different subjects, then give it a few months to see what works.
      
      Remember that the number of visits you get from other Hubbers is no guide - you need to give all the search engines time to find you, then you'll see what works. And I'm betting you'll be surprised - the high traffic Hubs aren't always the ones you expect.

         Well I've notice my traffic from search engines is increasing. I know it takes time and I'm trying to be patient because I want to do this the right way. Thanks for the encouragement.
         
         As for visits from other hubbers, while they bring me no money, they make me feel good and that I'm on the right path. My self esteem needs all the help it can get.

            Yes, it's always nice to have visits and comments from other Hubbers, especially at first when no one else seems to be noticing!  All I'm saying is, don't take a Hub's popularity amongst Hubbers as any guide to its popularity with search engines. It doesn't necessarily follow.

   i decided to just improve my writing skills on here, and so far have had no success money wise.... i think if i did make any money it would be such a shock, i would frame it rather than spend it.... i don't seem to be able to write to make money, just to unload and socialise

   Patience is the keyword here
   
   This isn't a place to come and earn money, it's a place to come write and earn a little whilst doing so!
   
   If you're solely here to earn money you won't last long, you must enjoy writing and must have come here with the sole idea of writing and got a nice surprise when you realise you could earn a little.

      Cranoo you can certainly do both here. What will surprise most people, ( to echo Marissa), is the range of topics that can be highly liked by the search engines. (translate - traffic - translate potential revenue)
      
      You can do quality hubs directed entirely at affiliate revenue, or you can write good content hubs that do great with adsense, or you can do trend targeting hubs to ride the latest wave and go for adsense and affiliate revenue, or you can write for the joy of writing, or, or, or, - you can do all the above. But it is possible to write hubs that  compliment the character of HubPages and make money Too!
      
      Just check out some of the more senior, (time on Hubpages that is), and experienced Hubber's How-to's to see the possibilities.

   Adsense is the best, if you are entirely focusing on earning money and write about a topic that will sell stuff on ebay/amazon.
   
   For instance if you're writing about HALO: ODST game insert an Ebay widget, if you're writing about the latest book insert Amazon widget.
   
   Don't always insert these widgets unless you're writing about something that you think is going to sell.
