In your synopsis of our present culture & society, do you believe that our future will be

a more humane, positive one or a darker dystopic one?  Why? Why not?

Last night, I watched an interview being held between our two previous popular Prime Ministers of Australia. One was the Honourable Liberal Party Leader, John Howard. The other, was the popular Prime Minister, Honourable Bob Hawke of the Labour Party.

It was Bob Hawke's final comment that I wanted to mention here, in relation to your question. He said, "we are at a critical point, globally. We either have to pull everyone up or we are all going down". This is also how I have felt for a long time.

I feel we all are going to have to put our differences aside and "get it", that being self interested to the point we have gone, is no longer a viable option, if we want the planet and our species to make it. We have to even up the score more. You can still have a confortable life but not taken to the extremes. It just is unrealistic in view of our current global dynamics.

After seeing how the towns people came together in Charlotesville, it made me have hope that no matter how divided your country is, I feel the bottom line is, that your people would rather have peace and happiness rather than fighting with one another.

There is a glimmer of light there. Fragile. But it is there. We just have to nurture it. The same here, at home in Australia. We also are disillusioned with our political system and the managers of our country. It has to change here too, in Australia.

Self-concern= source of evil. But the most evil people know how to play our egos like a symphony. Take the "climate change" hoax, for instance. Sounds nice and altruistic, but pure evil underneath. We're in an Ice Age and they want to cool the planet

There are two key opposing forces at work:

    1) Self-concern (selfishness, egoism, psychopathic desire, etc.)

    and

    2) Spiritual awakening (altruism, forgiveness, creation, etc.)

Any system will be gamed by ego, so long as ego exists. Ego (self-concern) is the source of all evil. Every evil thing you can think of has self-concern lurking in the shadows right behind it. For the world to become like the Garden of Eden, we need to have everyone give up self-concern. Some will never want to do that. Desire is too strong. Desire for laziness, lust, money, etc. That desire leads to suffering and a dystopic future.

Giving up self-concern to the point of altruistic, unconditional love, perfect responsibility for everything (yes, everything), fearless confidence, but utter humility -- these will lead to a perfectly humane and empowering future.

Who will win? The answer is obvious -- the spiritual! It is the superior viewpoint -- the viewpoint of cause and creation. The psychopaths will lose, because they are "physical" and "at effect." They are ego which is the false, action-reaction self (which includes karma). But not everyone will be able to let go of their ego. So, they will end up deciding to stay in suffering forever -- until long after the sun goes red giant and turns this planet into a lake of fire.
