CPM Has Plummeted Once Again

   I was doing great up until the last day of March. April has been disappointing in terms of earnings, even when the traffic has somewhat recovered. Is anyone else going through the same dry spell?

      I think that it depends on what niche you write in.  I write gardening hubs and since the gardening season has begun, my earnings have risen considerably both last month and even more this month.  If past performance is any indication of the future, my earnings will peak in May and then drift downwards through the summer and into the fall.

   Yesterday (Saturday) wasn't too bad. Almost back to March levels. Usually it takes between a few weeks and a month for CPM to recover once a new quarter starts.

   I wish Google or Maven would announce some sort of major advertising contract or blitz. That would make it easy. But nothing has ever been easy before, so why should it start now?

    The HP Ad Program is kind of like the bond market: steady, reliable, predictable, seldom any heart attack inducing surprises.
    
    AdSense is kind of like a typical NASDAQ day: erratic, no-holds-barred, unpredictable, both heart attack and euphoria inducing for any given day or at any given moment.
