I've been trying to publish my first article for a few days now, however when the verification box appears and I put my phone number in, I get the message "We can not call the phone number you provided at this time, please use SMS or try again later."

I've tried both SMS and call verification a number of times but neither seems to work. I'm in the UK (+44 area code). I also sent an email to team@hubpages.com about 4 days ago but I haven't yet had a response.

From what I can see, everything seems to be good with my article, it's just this final hurdle that's causing me issues, is there anyone else that's experiencing the same problems or able to help me?

    Thanks!

Same here! I had to do the caption over and over again and yet the issue still persists. I guess we better leave the matter to the admin.

I am facing the same problem and I even tried for voice call.. I got the call which informed me there is some technical problem.
Please share what you did to get the problem rectified?

Have you tried prefixing a zero to +44?

I am facing the same problem

"Something went wrong. Please try again. And when you get a chance, you may want to report this issue in the Hubpages forums" - It says
