Can someone please explain to me how search on hubpages works. No matter how I try to search, nothing happens.
It has been like this for at least six months, and when I contact hubpages, they just tell me to put in what I search for...
It doesn't seem to penetrate that it doesn't work.
Help!
Yes, it hasn't worked for a long time. We have posted the problem on here repeatedly without seeing a fix.
The search function has been fixed and is working for me. After you type in what you are searching for in the "find your Maven" search field, either click the Maven key symbol or press the enter button on your keyboard.
No, it doesn't.
Clearly it is intermittent - working for some, but not for others. It doesn't matter whether I click enter on the keyboard, use my mouse to click on the maven, or anything else.
iT DOES NOT WORK.
If I could think of a way of fliming this, I would do it for you. Unfortunately I can't.
It is not working for me on Chrome regardless of whether I am logged in or not.
If I enter a search term and click on the key, there is no response.
If I click on a topic, again there is no response.
It doesn't matter if I click or use the enter button. I get the same non-response on MS Edge.
Thank you.
I know this isn't me.
It just doesn't work. I get exactly the same thing.
Thanks for reporting. I'll forward this to engineering for them to take a look.
Matt keeps telling me it does - because his works.
At the top of the search frame that you are seeing, click on the "find your maven" with your mouse. Add the thing you are looking for. I entered your name. In a few seconds it returned a bunch of your articles. An INTJ article as on the top of the search.
I think they are not fixing it because it is not broken, just weird.
Well, yes, I've been doing that forever.
IT DOES NOT WORK.
I don't like Firefox. I use Chrome. Surely it should work on Chrome?
Yup, I know.
I just tested it in Explorer. It works there.
The problem is Chrome.
If it now works for some people and not others, it may be browser incompatibility or some other sensitivity to a software setting.
And it would be nice is fixes were announced so we don't feel quite so ignored.
I found it guys. If Chrome has third party cookies blocked, it doesn't work. I compared the settings on Explorer and Chrome, and that was it. Once I allowed third party cookies, then search on hubpages worked.

Avast Security software and Google Chrome are conducting some sort of war...and it is adversely affecting searchers ability to reach our hubs. Anyone using the Chrome browser (not just us hubbers) who has the Avast software on his machine will (when searching for a hub) have the link to that...

I've just written, edited and published a hub using the Google Chrome browser. Until recently, there was always a message saying the browser wasn't fully compatible and some aspects might not work. Today, no message and everything working fine. HubPages might have announced this, but if so I missed...
