Long time to write an article

   How do some of you write so many articles when it takes me so long to write one? I must be doing something wrong.

      Hi Nicky I think if you were writing about nursing you would find it is a lot easier/faster. Even so, this morning I published an article I have been working on for a few weeks. (Even subjects you are familiar with should be researched so that they contain no or few mistakes.)
      It is not so much a matter of being fast as just being consistent and publishing something every few weeks.
      One thing I find that helps is taking notes on what I want to write about. I get a lot of ideas when people ask me things that they have not found on the internet, although this is becoming less common every year. I am sure people ask about you about their health care all of the time and you are full of great answers that you have not yet written about.

         Thank you. Great tip on writing about nursing. My issue is that after working 36 hrs in the ER, another 15 hrs in primary care, and contract aesthetics, I feel pressured to finish an article whenever time allows.
         
         Instead of feeling pressured to write hastily, i think ill take an approach to aim to finish an article in 2-3 weeks consistently.That would give me enough time to create an outline and find adequate and credible sources without feeling crunched for time.

      You're not doing anything wrong! It takes time for all of us. My 150 articles have taken me almost 4 years to get right. It's a serious investment of our time. It's also basically a gamble, since there's no guarantee the article you worked so much on will (a) get published, (b) find readers, or (c) make a little money down the road.
      
      Write because you like to, and hang in there!

      My personal method is to list down topics am very familiar with, usually a maximum of 5. Then I start adding chunks of data and information to those topics as I do other activities, when I find enough time to write I just check which article has the most data then I start writing. Its a bit unorthodox, but it has enabled me to write six articles in two weeks.

      Don't compare yourself to other people.  You should write at your own pace.  HubPages and Google both value quality over quantity.  You will attract more views and earn more money with a few well-written articles than with a bunch of lame ones.
