Have you ever been a friend to someone during a difficult time?

During extremely difficult times, sometimes we just need a shoulder of a friend to cry on. Look, both men and women have to deal with tough situations emotionally. To not have emotions is not healthy. Have you ever been a friend to someone going through a difficult time, or needed someone when you were going through a tough time.

    Hello Zeke,
Yes, I have been through some extremely difficult times with several friends of mine. "Do unto to others as you would have them do unto you." This rule is what I have tried to live my life by. Is it always reciprocated? No. But, it is still worth every second that I can help.

I would think almost everyone would answer yes and yes to this. People help each other, and need each other.

I have been blessed to be able to be there for a friend at the worst time in her life. It's been my experience that a lot of people fade away during really trying times because they don't know what to say and don't think they can help. I probably would have done the same thing, except this friend was very dear to me and didn't have anyone else. I couldn't begin to imagine what she was going through with the death of her 3 1/2-year-old son, but I couldn't leave her alone. Turns out, she didn't need me to talk, or to know what to do. She just needed someone there, and to know that people still cared.

I couldn't agree more -- both men and women need emotional support. There have been trying times in my life, some with support and some without. Just having someone close can make so many things seem more manageable. It's the feeling of being alone, and the way that it grows when you're in a dark place, that can make those trials in life seem so completely hopeless.

Yes, i have been a good friend to someone at times of difficult. I know what it feels and it is really hard to tackle challenges when your alone.

But you know whats difficult is when you help them at times of there difficulties but when you are the one on that situation they are gone.

We are social beings that connect to others during good and bad times.  Not everyone is able to reach out to another absorbing some of the pain.  But for those that are, it can make a difficult situation more manageable rather than the experience of isolation. Some will run the other direction while others will stay the course.  - Sabrina Tells All -

    Yes, I have.
People like that are common in my land, and sometimes I also look for people to lean on, but hardly seen one, this baffles me.
