According to various sources, Hydroxychloroquine from India might be the cure for the coronavirus, as the product is very high in demand right now that even President Trump is urging India to send shipments of it to the US as we speak. My biggest question is do you think this could be the cure to the coronavirus? And if it is, then what do you think will happen next? Could this lead to the end of our forced quarantine? Please discuss.
Also Trump has threatened retaliation to India if they don't agree to send shipments to the USA. Here's a video link for those that wish to see it for yourselves:

As most of you know, I'm not a Trump supporter, nor do I enjoy bashing Trump either, as I'm indifferent about him for the most part honestly. However, do you think his thinly veiled threat of retaliation was justified? Or do you think it's the cry of a desperate man trying to save his job right now in an election year?
I take his words the opposite of what he claims most of the time. Works out well...
No, I don't think it is a "cry of a desperate man trying to save his job right now in an election year"
If anything, I would take it as Trump being Trump—America first.
The video is a bit unclear in that Pres. Trump mentions ". . . our supply to come out . . . ", and the video crawl notes "March orders." So, is it a question of India not filling an accepted order, or is it just a blanket embargo of the drug? *shrug
I think that question needs answering before your question can be answered. However, as seen by Randy's reply, I may be a lonely voice asking that question.
GA
First he threatens, and then he relents. Same old story...
Look at the aircraft carrier fiasco. He cannot make a clear decision about anything. Damn this is getting old....
India being a populated country has a big in house consumption of this formulation but once the capacity is increased it can think and has to export the surplus material. Let us hope so.
Whatever the outcome of the effectiveness of the medicine, I don't think Trump has the right to retaliate if shipments doing happen. We are demanding everything we make go to our citizens. We are stopping shipments of our own.
Help your closest neighbor first. That's human nature. If India ships life saving medical supplies out of country and then later, those in their country die for a lack of supplies people in that country will, understandably, demand to know why.

Obama has threatened retaliation against Russia for election hacking. Hold elections again? If elections were hacked why don't they hold elections again after beefing up the security?

US troops have been targeted in retaliation for the killing of one of their most honored generals. There are two sets of launches of missiles targeting American troops.Iran says if Trump retaliates for these retributional attacks, they'll attack Israel next. What a fine mess Trump's got us...

This forum is to catalogue the many lies, distortions, deceptions, and misinformation Donald Trump has made about his administration's effort to combat the coronavirus. He is doing his damnedest to make you think is doing a 10 out of 10 job when, in fact, it is more like 3 or 4 out of 10...

When President Obama was faced with a crisis from the Swine Flu, he waited 6 months before any real action. President Trump put a travel ban from nations with the virus in early January; weeks after the virus was public. He has spoken to the American public several times remaining calm...

First of all, the flu is killing more people still.Second, President Trump says that the coronavirus will go away soon. Why can't people just have faith in our President. He says there's nothing to worry about.
