I'm going to do a hub on this one day - the only way I can think of is to design the 'fonts' etc in Word and then take a screen shot and save as a JPG - you may have problems with load time though -

I'm not sure, but doesn't Yahoo still look to keywords in content? Or is it MSN? Won't you lose that traffic? And won't Google get confused as to how to classify the hub? Would it be an image?

You are right - what I was thinking was more a way to 'highlight' certain aspects in a hub. I'd write a hub as nomral and then perhaps design a 'post-it' note to insert at an appropriate part within the hub - the hub would still get indexed as normal, but has the odd 'cool' bit!

I don't know. And please don't. Let your words speak for themselves. Pretty up the other pieces.

If you find out any of that is possible, let ME know!  I have been here for a few months and no one has said anything about this being possible.  I like using pictures to break up the "grey" but that's because I used to work/write for newspapers.

Well, you can use your own pictures. As for font, you got to go with what is in the editor. For font you can bold, underline, and italicize.  Also, you can't color your text, it has to be black.

You can't adjust your fonts or font colours.  You can choose paragraph and line formatting, only.

YouTube, Google videos, Revv, Metcalf (I think) can be loaded but not personal audio or video.

Images are perfectly okay to upload or link to (IF you are not violating copyrights).

    Does that help?

I did what SimeyC is talking about in the St. Patrick's Day HubMob hub.  The rest of the hub was done normally though.

Google doesn't read images (or so I've read)and you can't link them.

For images you can name the image file by using a description, for example if you have a photograph of someone caring for their garden then you could name the file 'garden_care.jpg'. Then it becomes a keyword in its own right and the search engines will be able to see the description.

The other thing you can do is to give your image a caption, again you could use 'Garden Care' this should in effect become the 'alt tag' for the image and again should be visible to the search engines. I am not 100% about this one on Hubpages, but I know that when you upload an image to a blog and give it a caption it is the equivalent of an 'alt tag' so would think it would be the same here, worth a try anyway.

As for load times you can always optimise your photos for the web using a photo editor like Photoshop which has this function in its file saving options. When you use it, it allows you to change parameters to strip out the photograph for the web i.e. it looks fine as a 200px image on the web, but you wouldn't want to print it on an A4 sheet of paper.

    Hope that all makes sense.
