Hi, I would like to feedback on my article.
https://discover.hubpages.com/education … xist-Today
If these points are ones communicted to you, that should be what you need to know.
You didn't leave a link to your article so we cannot see it.
"Prehistoric Animals That **Are** Still Alive Today"
"Evolution is defined as the change of an organism from a previous form into one that is more adapted to its environment..."
Your English is good, Eric, but there are often glaring mistakes, so focus on improving it.
"It created weird animals..." That implies that evolution created weird animals. Evolution cannot create anything. The creatures adapted themselves over a very long time.
So you would say something like, "In their journey of adaptation, many strange creatures have emerged: a fish that climbs trees, a creature (?) that looks like a mash-up of different animals, a caterpillar and a frog that do not die even when their blood freezes." - Note, it would be better to name the species you refer to.
Images again. It is not enough to say 'Pixabay'. You should credit the image owner and link to the image. Pixabay gives you the information so all you have to do is copy it for the capsule. People have explained this to you several times. Having said that, you may not be able to link to the same domain more than twice, but you can still mention the person who has kindly provided the image.
"Tapirs are ancient mammals believed where rhinoceros evolved." should be, "Tapirs are mammals that are possibly the ancient relatives of today's rhinoceros. Then explain why some branched off to become rhinoceros while others stayed the same.
Mention the species that the tapirs evolved from. From memory is it the 'Eohippus'? Something like that Whenever you mention a species, make sure you use its correct Latin name. Leave no detail unmentioned.
Sorry I haven't got time to go through the whole thing, but you get the idea. Try not to leave readers hanging without providing the obvious concluding facts.
Good luck.
Hi, Bev.
I thought Pixabay doesn't need attribution and I just put public domain so the editors know where I get those photos. I will follow your advice about mistakes and ideas. Thank you
Pixabay doesn't need attribution but it's polite to give credit and a link to the photo owner for their generosity. If they were your photos, you'd like acknowledgement, wouldn't you? Your name appears on your articles.
Pixabay's photos are published under a Creative Commons license. That is not the same as Public Domain. As you are a writer who depends upon images, you must know the differences between the various licenses. You cannot use all Creative Commons images because many are not permitted to be used on a commercial site - and HubPages is a commercial site. You always have to check.
