Billionaire Dallas Mavericks owner, er...excuse me...I mean GOVERNOR, as we all know NBA players consider the term "owner" for a team to be racist, and would rather the owners be called "governors" instead.  However, that's another topic entirely.  But for the sake of not wanting to sound like a racist, I shall be referring to him as the "governor" of the Dallas Mavericks versus calling him the "owner" of the team.

Anyways, the GOVERNOR of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban, is a billionaire, and he's also been featured in some reality shows too.  Hmm...why does that sound familiar again?

Anyways, he hasn't ruled out the possibility of running in 2024 for the presidency, as he self proclaims to have majority of independent voters that are behind him.  For me personally, I feel this is a mistake on his part.

First of all, liberals won't vote for him because they already had enough of a billionaire, and former reality TV show star, in Donald Trump.  Does he really think that liberals are going to vote for him after going through one billionaire and reality TV show star as president?

As for conservatives, I don't think they'll vote for him either because if these election results are telling, almost half the country voted for Trump, and Cuban been bashing Trump in the media left and right, so does he think Trump supporters going to now flock towards him now after he's been bashing Donald Trump in the media?

Seriously, the only base I can think of that would vote for Cuban might be the conservative base that didn't like Donald Trump and voted for Biden recently just to get Trump out of office.  That's only base I can honestly think of that would vote for him but maybe I'm wrong.  What do you think?  Does Mark Cuban have a chance to be president in 2024?  Would YOU personally vote for him?  Please discuss.

#1 - Since I have no idea of his political philosophy or what he says he would do as president, I don't really have an opinion....EXCEPT

#2_- Yes, as with Bloomberg, I am loathe to support another egotistical billionaire who undoubtedly thinks he knows better than anyone.

I suppose it would all depend on his platform and his vision for America.  We've got a guy in office whose been a professional politician for years.  His first act was to renege on a promise he made to the voters of Georgia.  All politicians lie. I won't rule out anyone just because they haven't spent a lifetime lying to the public.

I think there are some very large differences in the type of billionaire between Trump and Cuban.  For instance, we saw the instances of fraud with Trump during the 2016 election - not paying workers, Trump University.  Cuban on the other hand, came out publicly against the players' stance on the term owner and after that defense, this is what the VP of the  players union had to say about him:

"I think Mark Cuban has the right to defend himself because he has a majority stake in an NBA team. But he's done a great job of carrying that position with integrity, with respect, with equality to everyone who's involved with his organization."

Tell me who was using the terms integrity, respect, and equality when describing Donald Trump...ever.  I think you might get minorities supporting Cuban from that statement alone as he has managed his company well and treated his employees well.

Cuban is a fighter as evidenced by his attempts to go directly into the belly of the disinformation beast with appearances on Hannity to have dialogue on the political environment.  If I was the right, I'd be very concerned about Cuban attacking right-wing media in the same way Trump did any non-friendly media.

Like LTL, I'd be interested to see where he stands on the issues if he decides to make a run.  Him being a billionaire isn't a disqualifier, just as it wasn't necessarily for Bloomberg.  Bloomberg appealed to a few in my family who liked a businessman as President and voted for Trump, but couldn't stand Trump's bluster and idiocy.
