Is it normal here to earn just 0.33 dollars after getting a 400 views?

I'm not sure if this is still the effect of the pandemic, or simply it is February. But I was pretty happy that my daily views are increasing to 300 per day. But after hitting a new high of 400 views, all I get is 0.33 dollar earnings. That was no different than my 200 view per day last September. I checked my CPM, and it is just 1.98 dollars.

Is it normal here this period?

Our earnings are not based on per view. It is based on how long our readers interact with the ads. For this month, I get 500 views per day and my average CPM is 4.5$. There are times that I only got 100 views but the CPM reach 15$.

Didn't know this. Used to think earnings are calculated from the number of views and the country of the views.

Earnings are also based on impressions of ads, not page views. If a reader loads a page but exits quickly before ads load, that would count as a view but there would be no impressions. Also the number of impressions depends on how long the user is engaged by a page and how far down they scroll.

CPM is very low at this moment and I think it's due to the pandemic. Companies are having a hard time and won't pay much for advertising.

Where the views come from, what the topic is, both make a big difference to how much you earn, it isn't just dependent on the number of views. Earning 33 cents for a few hundred views does not sound weird to me.

Is it true that you only get 300-400 views a day, even you have 185 articles?  Or is it just for one article? I only have 12 articles but get 400-600 views a day and earn 0.5-2$ daily.

Make sure you’re writing articles that engage the reader, keeping them interested with ‘how to’ or a mystery that they must read further in order to solve. Do this ... and they will want to read more, stay longer, which increases your CPMs from elevated viewership. Mind you, though ... readers want well-written articles with a proper format & edit to keep them interested rather than give up on the author.  Something I'm still trying to perfect every day ... the edit goes on and on.  Just wanted to share my own personal experience with trial & error for those who are new to HP and still trying to figure it all out.  Blessings

I am impressed by you, Eric.
I hope my CPM will also get better soon.
one thing I would like to ask u if you feel nice to answer,
how much was your CPM in the first month when you joined HP,
I GUESS IT WAS THE START OF C-19 THAT TIME.

When I joined HP, I did not write for two months. I was looking for home-based jobs. My priority was to earn monthly  I had no work due to CV19, the face-to-face class is suspended. For now, I'm a data analyst in the daytime and write at HP in the evening.
But this was my earnings on my first week on HP

Seems low. I think the average is something like $3 per thousand views, so a little less than half a thousand would be in the neighborhood of a dollar or so. Which sounds closer to what I'd expect.

Yup, I got 185 articles but get only 300 views for all of them. I see nothing wrong with that if you ask me.
