The "Broken Links" notice is down. Going through my articles and editing this morning, I found three broken links in three separate pieces. There was no sign or warning on my account. I am concerned because what if there are more broken links? Is anyone else experiencing this? Is the notice for Broken Links truly down?
My Broken Links tab shows everything as a 404 error message. However, when I look for broken links in my Articles, I'm able to get to them by going directly to the article(s).
Thanks for the info. Do you manually search your articles for broken links? It's so time consuming.
Occasionally. I just look for the ! inside the black pyramid on my Articles page.
The broken link checker runs periodically for unchanged articles. If you edit the article the broken link checker will check the article the same day.
It's never all that reliable. I often find broken links that it has not flagged, and I do check manually sometimes. I have noticed that if an article gets edited and there is a broken link, they just remove the capsule, so if you don't look at it, you will never know that something is missing.
Sherry, Thank you for your input. It looks like the broken link notification is not reliable. I never thought of the editor removing them without notice, either. Interesting.

Almost everyday, I am getting notifications about 2 to 3 broken links. That means, going back to the specific article, search for another suitable video, editing etc. Involves some extra work everyday. Is it only me?

I'm in the process of the obligatory update of articles and I'm finding several broken links that have not been caught by the automated system that sends out alerts.I don't know what can be done about this other than engaging in the chore of checking your articles.

This is a great feature HP has...flagging Hubs where links within those Hubs are broken. However, just in the last 20 minutes, four of my Hubs showed on My Account page as having broken links. Only one did. (As in, there was no yellow text when looking at those Hubs in edit mode, for three of...

Have noticed over the past couple of days, I'm getting lots of broken links from photos in my articles, so everyone may want to double check for those black little triangles.

Why most of the Youtube videos carry the banner of broken links, while they all work.

Two of my articles on PetHelpful are showing as having broken links. In the first instance, when I look at the article, the link is a picture. This link http://www.sxc.hu/photo/679862 is showing as broken but is in fact clearly showing as a black cat drinking so I think this may be a 'glitch'? In...
