I guess it is the end of an era. Just deleted the last of my remaining articles. I started writing here in 2011. It has been a long road, and I am sad it is coming to an end. I'm also feeling a certain amount of anger and frustration over how this went down, but for my last post ever, I am choosing positivity.

    Thank you to:

My fellow HP writers. You, more than any owner or editor, are what kept HP going all of these years. I learned from many of you, saw some of you as competitors, and a few of you made me irrationally angry on a regular basis, but you are what made this place great.

All the writers across so many sites that have come and gone. Squidoo, InfoBarrel, Zujava, Wizzley, etc. We were here during a unique and kind of wild time in internet history, where anyone with a computer and a little knowledge could publish their ideas and make a decent side income, or maybe more.

Paul and Robin Edmundson. I didn't always agree with you, but you gave us all an opportunity to create and make a mark for ourselves. Robin, in particular, showed me infinite patience at certain times.

The editors. Haley and Lisa, and many others. I'm still not a fan of the editing program, but we worked on some cool projects over the years and you were always amazing.

Matt and the engineering team, for keeping this place running smoothly, at least until recently.

Anyway: Horse, me, sunset. I'm off. I have a little housekeeping to deal with for what remains of my accounts, but in a few days it will be like I was never here. Best of luck to everyone in whatever you do next.

This feels like a death, and many of us who connected here may never cross paths again. Good Luck to all.

It's sad isn't it? Feels like part of the family. I'm going to save a few articles then maybe turn them into ebooks.

I had given up on all of the 'TAG knows what they are doing" in early 2024, and the move from  pethelpful to Discover was appalling. Still this is a sad day for me as well.

Shout out to the pethelpful writers. Some of us HP writers are getting together at yourpetsathome dot com. Feel free to visit us there and join the writing community. It's new (1 year old) but growing monthly.

We have categories for cats, dogs, horses, rodents and we are happy to add exotics, birds, barnyard and aquatic animals.

Check us out! We'd  love to keep a piece of that community together.

I will miss HubPages- the community here was fantastic.  As I am transferring my articles, I am actually crying.   I will miss this wonderful community.   Good luck to you all and God bless.

    It’s a sad end indeed.
For 14 years, it had become part of my life— Will miss the HP community the most.
Best wishes to everyone, who walked along with me, and thank you HubPages for giving us this platform.
