The last of my articles have been deleted from HP. Backup copies are safely stored away. So I guess my HubPages journey is now officially at its end.
I'm still not sure what (if anything) I'm going to do with my material. I don't have the time (or, quite frankly, the patience) to try and start over somewhere else. For now, at least, I consider myself semi-retired from this whole "online writer" thing.
It's been a wild, weird, (mostly) fun ride since I joined HP in 2011. I've had a ball writing about my nerdy passions, making connections with fellow writers (Rutabagas 4 life!), and of course, beatin' the hell out of all those spammers.
To all who've stuck it out to the bitter end with HP (like me), I salute you with a frosty brew. Peace out... and in the immortal words of Ozzy Osbourne, "God knows I'll see you on the other side."
Earth, Soul, ROCK N ROLL!

End transmission
I enjoyed your articles. You were one of the mainstays on this site. It is a shame that it ends this way.
I hope you and other good writers will find the patience and desire to start over somewhere else.
I am going to leave my articles up until the very last moment so I can squeeze some more pennies out of HP.
Take care.
Yep, it's been a helluva ride, Keith. I agree with you about starting over somewhere else. I have zero motivation to do so.
Speaking of Ozzy, I'm reading his latest book, "Last Rites".
Earth, soul, rock n roll indeed! Love it, Keith!
Peace, love, and hippiness,
Shauna aka Bravewarrior
It's been hell of a ride for sure. I am still removing and deleting my articles. Until then, I have to put up with the scallywags.
You have been a regular. I have followed you for years. Take care!
I actually thought you did that ages ago, Keith. So I'm surprised. ![]()
Let's face it, the site's been dead for some time with zero prospects for revival.
I un-published all my stuff late last year but didn't delete them entirely from the site until this past week.
Hi Keith,
It has been a wild and mostly fun ride for sure.
I first joined early in 2012 when I was laid off from a job I loved. HP provided a way for me to keep busy and entertained while I was job hunting. Even after I landed another job, I kept writing.
As I decided what my focus would be, I stopped writing about things like WWI and food, and began to write hubs about my other passion - music. I have probably unpublished more articles than many folks have published.
So many changes here in the last several years...you could see the writing on the wall (no pun intended).
I need to copy my articles for posterity or something. I sure wish there was a way they could do a bulk copy for us.
Stay well and keep on rockin'!
Jennifer aka Kaili Bisson
Jennifer, Authory.com can do that for you. I just had all of my HP articles imported to the site which gives you a beautiful portfolio page. I've done it, John Hansen has, and so has Louise Fiolek. Here the link to my page: https://authory.com/ShaunaBowling
I still have some tweaking I want to do, but I'm very happy with having made the decision to create a portfolio site with Authory.com.
Good luck moving forward, Jennifer!
Thank you Shauna. I will definitely have a look at this!
Jennifer, please wait about a week before you look at it. I emailed the team at Authory to ask them to remove HubPages logo that showed at the top of each article, or below the title, from my articles. In so doing, they re-imported everything (all but two - don't know what happened there) and my collections are completely empty of the articles I moved to them. Not only that, but when I went into the article archive to move everything back into my collections, I noticed a bunch of gibberish appearing within the text, e.g. Greek symbols and the TM symbol. I don't know if their second import did that or their attempt to block out the HP logo. Nevertheless, my articles now are very messy and not worthy of highlighting. I emailed the team to let them know of this gross dilemma and asked them to fix it. So, right now, there's nothing to look at when you click on the very pretty collections I show on my homepage. At the moment, I'm not a happy camper, but I know Authory will do right by me. I just hope they fix the blunders within the next day or two; it took quite a bit of my time to organize and re-order my content into the collections I created. Bummer big time!
I have saved all my 51 articles in my cloud (OneDrive app). I will sit back for now and think over what to do with those articles.
I have my own blogs (Five), plus the Medium and the WordPress ones.

Hi fellow writers,Yesterday I recognized that the homepage of HubPages has a new design and in the mid of this I discovered a fellow writer with the most earnings here at HubPages. He's a member since 7 years, has published 55 articles which have been read over 1,000,000 times and he makes over $...

I was going to treat a hub like a blog on a topic, but I seem to see that hubs are just individual articles or am I totally missing the idea?

I have been weary as of late, battling the Covid comeback and such. However, I have attempted to write an article or two. Although my interaction limits currently because of health. The latest, https://discover.hubpages.com/religion- … rent-Days, is on Discover (so confused), but it is still...

Writing has always been my way of talking when no-one is listening so finding HubPages is as good as picking up the phone and knowing there is someone on the other end of the line.My problem is that I have so much to write about I don't know what my niche is or if I even want one. What do you think...
