My Hubs' Indexing has Speeded Up

   A hub that was written on Oct 15 was indexed within 15 hours and is already receiving both Yahoo and Google traffic. Most newer hubs seem to be following this pattern.
   
   However a few hubs from a week ago still aren't anywhere to be seen and have received no external traffic.
   
   It's hard to say why. I did make a few subtle changes in my internal linking strategy. Set up a new backlink blog. And have been making more frequent comments to the blogs that I use for backlinks to my hubpages.
   
   My traffic is increasing as well.
   
   I really can't say why any of this is happening - or if it will last. But the changes do provide some hope for the Holidays. It's been a rough month on Google and I needed some hope. So I thought I would share.

   In the last few days my traffic has risen also, quite rapidly.  I'm pleasantly happy!

   Jane thanks for share something positive about your traffic. I really think it's important to acknowledge that Hubpages still provides alot of us with great traffic results.

      the traffic is rising, today I added tags, capsules, moved things around in a few of my hubs and within a half hour I saw a big jump in traffic.
      
      thanks to hubbers like you and a few others who are so ready with very helpful advice.  you are making this easier for so many.
      
      also today is sunday and more people are home searching online for the holidays, for the week, etc.

   My traffic did rise earlier in the week, but has slumped again in the last day or so.  However, for some reason it always seems to fall at the weekend, so is probably just that.  As long as the traffic keeps up during the week!

   Do the autumn and winter months usually see an increase in traffic? Haven't been doing this long enough to know. I'm guessing they would. S'cold out there brrr.

   hay, good to hear.
   I do find that it takes about two weeks for words to travel through the Google's grapevine but then I don't focus much on links etc.

   I published a Hub just before midnight Pacific time last night, and by 8AM Sunday morning, it had been indexed by Google.  I've not seen it be that fast in a while.  I have not done anything different with how I create Hubs, or backlinks, etc.

   I believe Google is still playing with their algorithms.
   They have been since June I think.
   (They had best stop before they go blind)
   I had the slow indexing at the end of September, then suddenly about October 5th, BANG! everything was indexed in 24 hours or way less.
   I think I actually saw one get indexed in about 4 hours.
