NFL Week 9 - Any Predictions for Biggest Upsets ?

   Its week 9 and The Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints are the only 2 teams that remain undefeated. Based on their match ups for this weekend it seems that they will remain that way for one more week. Any thoughts?
   As for the rest of the NFL . . .Can the Titans upset the 49ers? Will the Giants resurface and stomp the Chargers? Can the Dolphins wildcat formation stick it to the Patriots again? Denver was the underdog against Baltimore, Dallas and New England. .can they do it again and win a big one against Pittsburgh?
   So who do you think will be victorious this weekend and who will be brutally upset?

   The Lions over the Seahawks would be pretty jolting. And, no the Dolphins won't stick to the Pats this time, they're mighty upset over the last time.

   Definitely some good games this week.  The Giants and 49ers need to get back on track.  I like Pittsburgh to win.  Dallas and Phili will be a good game.  The Pats should handle Miami this time.

   It pains me to say it.  The Colts are positioned for an upset.  The injuries are mounting, and there is always the danger of looking past a good Houston team with New England coming in next week.

   I think it is "Make or Break" time for the Texan franchise...for this particular season...or that's how it is being billed down here. Will we be contenders...are they up for it? God...I sure do hope so!
   
   The Texans have gotten their butt kicked by the Colts...like 13 - 1 times (not looking at the exact stat at the moment...).
   We need to keep our momentum going...it is going to be a great head to head game...I hope!

    Houston over Indy because its time the Texans beat the Colts. Colts did not blow out the 49ers as most of the world expected. Plus the injury to Bob Sanders is going to hurt Indy.

       Colts were not expected to blow out SF.  They have a strong defense and good running game.
       
       The Bob Sanders injury is being blown way out of proportion.  Melvin Bullit has been filling in well for the past three years.

    Many people are starting to like the Texans at the absolute wrong time.  The Texans will lose badly to the Colts for several reasons:
    
    1. Texans can't defend the pass - they will be going up against the best passer in the league (best of all-time once he's done)
    
    2. No Owen Daniels - with Andre Johnson double-teamed Schaub doesn't have too many viable options left
    
    3. Steve Slaton will see limited playing time - last week's benching indicates that Kubiak is tired of the fumbles
    
    4. The Texans have never won in Indy
    
    5. Throughout the Kubiak era the Texans have always played there worst when expectations are high - this team is great when no one is on the bandwagon but can't do it when it counts

       Remember last year when Sage Rosenfels allowed Indy to come back and beat the then lowly Texans? I think Houston can keep up with any offense (maybe not the Saints). But let's wait and see.

    Well, I am 0-2 picking upsets so far. The favorite has romped over the underdog in both my upset picks. lol
    But...this week I will put out 2 upset specials.
    
    1. Texans over the Colts
    2. Carolina Panthers over the N.O. Saints
    
    Now you say Wwwwhhhhhaaatttttt? Yep, I call the Panthers over Saints. I hope not, but N.O has had a couple of huge wins lately and are primed for a let down against a weaker team.  I hope N.O. wins, but to pick a good upset one goes for what would be a Real upset!

    My heart wants the Chicago Bears to beat Arizona this weekend.  I will still pick the Bears to win.  Green Bay will win the "Battle of the Bays" game in Tampa.  Just a footnote on the Green Bay vs. Tampa Bay game, the Bucs are wearing the old jerseys from when they entered the NFL in 1976.  The creamsicles are back, lol!!!  One more prediction, Titans over the 49ers.  I had to do that since the Titans are my wife's favorite team.

    I think the Cardinals vs Bears is a tough game to call.  It looks like the Bears are favored 3 points.  I think I'd take the points and the Cardinals as well.

    With the Cardinals I think it is more about which one of their identities they come to play with. Who are they? One week they beat the Giants and the next they are crushed by the Panthers? As for the Bears it will be interesting to see which defense shows up. Will it be the Bears that gave up 45 points to the Bengals or the one who forced 5 turnovers and scored a touchdown against the Browns. 
    
    Interesting to note both teams are 4-3 coming into week 9. The Cards have a perfect 3-0 record on the road and the Bears at home are 3-0.
    
    The winner of this game will be the one that comes to play with passion, focus and commitment. And with both of these teams and their identity crisis for sure it has the makings of a great game.
    
    And on a last note and I say this in a quiet whisper. . .go blue

    In not exactly a huge or even particularly big upset, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Cards beat the Bears. I could see Detroit beating Seattle. I couldn't quite commit to it, but I was real tempted to take the Chargers over the Giants.
    
    If any team is primed for a huge upset it's the Saints. They've been coming out flat the past two weeks and then scoring a bunch to catch up. They just might hit the snooze button once too many times in the next few weeks.

    Looks like "every other week Warner" has brought the  Cardinals' offense to the game with 28-7 lead with 2:49 left in the first half. Cards have 296 yards and 20 first downs to this point. It the Cars total domination and a bad sign for the rest of the NFC West.
    
    Can the Bears make any kind of come back in the second half????
