Fun $300 Amazon Sale

   I sold a jamon seranno (Spanish Ham) and a jamon seranno holder for about a $300 sale yesterday. So someone has money in their pocket.
   
   (Jamon seranno comes from a pig in a special region of Spain, where the pig is allowed to wander and eat all Spanish nuts that it wants. So the ham has a nutty flavor unique to this brand.)

      my amazon Total Items Shipped is 14 and Ordered Items is 21, Clicks is 194 and Conversion is 10.82%. i have no idea what all of that means, but i am happy just to be selling stuff, and my adsense is really picking up too. i think because of the hub challenge and holidays. someday i hope to earn half as much as Nelle, that is phenomenal. congrats everyone!

   Cool Nelle, I had a big Amazon day yesterday too. I sold 2 pair of B&O A8 headphones at $160 each.  Actually having a very good Amazon and Ebay month.

   Ive been selling lots of vitamins lately...at 20-40 a bottle, its starting to add up...maybe people think they can eat whatever they want as long as they take some vitamins?
   
   Im not talking diet pills!..just vitamins on my vegetarian health articles..who woulda thought...congrats on the sales all round...hoping a big holiday season for all

   I made my third Amazon sale ever,a $100 sale on a product completely unrelated to my hubs. It was for an Indo Board this past weekend.

    I got my first Amazon payment today - yipee!  I didn't realize that it took so long to get a payment (today's payment was for what I made in September).  I was beginning to think that there was a threshold I had to reach first like with AdSense...makes sense, though, that maybe they wait 2 months to see if there's any product returns??
    
    My Amazon has been picking up steadily - $12 in September, $15 for October and already at $55 for November!  Hopefully it'll continue increasing!

    Great to share some success stories - sometimes the forums seem full of people complaining because they've been here a month and haven't earned much yet!
    
    I'm finding Ebay looking more promising with the pay per click (quality click pricing) - in other words I'm earning a small amount per day (more like Adsense).  Looks like it could be around a third of my Adsense earnings total.
    
    Anyone else noticing a positive change with Ebay?

       I actually have written only Ebay hubs for the last two months. And I can't believe how easy it is to convert! It makes my Amazon sales look puny. Alot of it is the difference between a 1 session cookie and a 7-day cookie.
       
       I'm loving the new PPC model as well. My ebay earnings are four times my google adsense earnings right now and the gap grows every day.
       
       Writing hubs for ebay is my new addiction. I know I have to diversify, but ebay is one of the most exciting programs I've found in a while. But then I read Dale Mazurek's cautionary post about getting the boot and I know that I have to keep building other sites as well.

       It's the ultimate gourmet ham. It can only be called jamon serrano if it's made from those pigs scurrying around a certain region of Spain gobbling up those specific nuts. Almost every bar in Spain serves it. The ham was actually about $258 and the ham holder was the rest. When Spaniards have a party, they hang the ham on the holder and put a sharp knife beside it and the guests shave off very thin slices throughout the party. 
       
       Leo and I had it at a Tapas Restaurant on the inner harbor in Baltimore. Very delicious.

    Everything is down for me....Amazon and Adsense....both less than half what they have been.  Glad to hear others are doing well.  Keep doing whatever it is you're doing.

       Oh no KCC, keep thinking Valentines Day hubs. I can't decide if the Olympics are a worthwhile topic or not. SuperBowl? Snowshoes? The must have those on Ebay. What else is hot now. You've got a tween or a teenager, watch her like a hawk. Kids are always in the know about trends.
       
       One year, I had such a bad sales trend, I started selling cigars and cigarettes. But when it started making sales, I felt so guilty I pulled all the links and deleted the website.

    Seriously how did you think that one up? If its cool I would love the link so I see what you did and try to work out how I could adapt future hubs for this sort of earning
    I have had no luck with amazon yet, for the hubs I have I think I see real promise with adsense if I keep building good content but amazon feels like a mystery to me.

I found the topic because my husband and I went out for Spanish Tapas in Baltimore and I fell in love with Spanish food. Keyword research using google extenal tool is great. But a lot of the time I just follow my own experience.

          I am still blown away that amazon sells ham! Just wouldn't have imagined finding this rare and expensive ham on amazon . Maybe playing around in amazon and learning just how extensive their product range is would be interesting and helpful. My interest hubs don't bring in earnings but they do attract good traffic and the occasional flattering comment . Never know what sort of long term benefit those hubs will bring but I wouldn't be surprised if it helped with my presence online somehow.

          You started right out with the amazon ads! I have not even thought to try that but those pics in the ads look yummy. I always try to use a good picture to grab attention and open the visitor to giving what I write a read and with this sort of amazon ad I can see how you can possibly hit 2 birds with one stone. Grab their attention or even tap into the impulse to buy.

             Nelle's moneymaking marketing tip 101. If you want to sell stuff. Then your hub should begin with the product link and end with the product link. And it should have lots of stuff in the middle. I have had certain hubbers criticize the hub style of that hub. But quite frankly if your trying to sell an expensive ham in a 1-session cookie environment - the subtle selling approach doesn't work. Yea it's not the most attractive hub. But if you type in a by a jamon serrano online, then you're more than happy to see one.
             
             Off to have some turkey with my mom, sister and her husband. We all live within 250 feet of each other.

                This tip does have logic to it. I can see that a good looking amazon ad might make up for the fact that its an ad . I just added some pretty ads to a wood carving hub I did, some gorgeous wood carvings! Kinda pricey as well so if it gets the occasional sale that would be more then enough to be worth a few minutes I took to find the best wood carvings. I already had wood carving kits in the body of the article along with pictures of a carving I did.
                
                Have you done an "affiliate selling with amazon on hub pages" hub? If not could you do one pretty please . I think I could learn a lot from a hub of that nature! I keep searching for a hub like this but have not been overly impressed as many of them are for web sites not hubs and hubby does the web sites (takes him months as he is a perfectionist so I am trying to get on with stuff within my skill set until he runs out of stuff to build, then I will have a list lol)
