      well, PETA does always sexualize their ads...they want animal rights to be viewed as sexy, and this poster clearly sexualizes religious iconography. which is too bad because it takes away from their message about adopting animals from shelters instead of buying them. i think PETA does ad campaigns like this to ignite controversy and get attention.

      I think she looks beautiful in a brushed art sort of way.  She needs the cross to cover her err... 'bits'.  Only right and decent, dont you think? hehehe *wink*

         Being a Catholic I do think she is beautiful and it doesn't actually make me uncomfortable or mad...but maybe a little bit more dressed would be better so it wouldn't piss other ppl off. Even if it was a cute dress then instead of holding the cross she could be cuddling a puppy!

            Are you kidding? That might mean people would actually pay more attention to PETA's message than their shenanigans! Gratuitous cheesecake ads may have bolstered publicity, but at the expense of PETA's credibility. That PETA seems fine with the objectification of the female body but opposes the exploitation of animals shows where women are in the hierarchy.
            
            (At least the nudity in the "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" campaign had a point. This is pure, gratuitous cheesecake.)

               I have 3! Got my first when she was 4 months and the other 2 at 2 months.
               OH and where I volunteer I help take care of 2 10 week old  babies. OMG Mark they are soooo cute!

    You know I use to get offended by ads like this but hey it so common now it doesn't surprise me or upset me anymore. They aren't going to stop doing it so why get upset? I just go with the flow of things now Or course wouldn't want my kids seeing it at a very young age.

    I never noticed any of those things. The links you provided were most interesting and enlightening. 95% is a pretty high number and what do they do with all the dog nuts? Do they recycle?  So many questions unanswered. Do  angels shave?
