I don't have anything against the piece, I just very much doubt it is his smile

I'd bet a Tasmanian Devil Turd that it's not.

But You've got to admire his creativity - making a post, then 5 minutes later posting tyhat it was great, and asking for his own phone number and address lol

He's telling us that he's Joel Comm in this one
      http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/5704#post59446 lol

I wonder if this is one of those Nigerian scams.  Espceially since he says he wants peoples' phone numbers.

I am sort of serious. smile
I often catch myself being angry at you talking nicely to the MOst Useless Troll or another annoying person and then I realize - f**k, I don't have that skill! And you are right - this is how it should be. So I still have a lot to learn from you smile

Eric Graudinsposted 15 years agoin reply to this

Yes. And sometimes it's very difficult to decide how to respond.
Getting angry at them is not a good way to react.
If I can detect something in a spammers post that indicates that they may not be aware that they are spamming, I'll generally give them the benefit of the doubt and respond in a genuine manner with relevant advice.

Often they turn out to be a good person, who has the wrong impression of Hubpages, or who has been given the wrong info by some guru.

We were both involved on a thread of this type earlier in the week, and I was quite  impressed by your responses when you realised that the person concerned was not really a spammer.

        No, not quite smile
Just a play on words with Sandra's surname, and the common expression "It has a nice ring to it" lol

        cheers, Eric G.

Well, yeah ESL is killing me...

LOL I don't really remember the thread you are talking about - but thanks smile

Regular spammers usually are not a problem to me any more. But people like the MOst Useless Troll in the Universe still are. Jenny, Paraglider, and Sandy keep their cool talking to him despite of his idiotic claims and neverending insults - for me the only option still is to ignore him...

  9. Eric Graudins profile image61
    Eric Graudinsposted 15 years ago

I posted to that thread  once.
I think that he's probably quite clever, and just being outrageous to get people to respond.
I suspect it could even be Mr. Knowles with a different userid. lol lol

He's certainly the biggest troll I've seen on HP. And I can't understand why the people you mention keep responding to him - unless it's purely for entertainment and/or intellectual exercise.

I think they genuinely want to help him...

Work does get pretty boring some days, for me at least.  I keep hoping, more than anything else, that someday the clouds will part and light will shine and he'll stop.. well.. being "The Enlightened SuperPoet Because 8 Crappy Websites said I'm in the top 100."

  12. Inspirepub profile image73

I think Mo has made a big effort in the past 24 hours, and the ratio of sensible discussion to insults is definitely improving.

    1. Paraglider profile image88
Paragliderposted 15 years agoin reply to this

I've noticed that too. Long may it continue.

  13. Inspirepub profile image73
    Inspirepubposted 15 years ago

It's worth noticing and responding appropriately, I think.

Mo had dug himself a pretty deep hole, and it takes something to turn around and take feedback on board after rejecting it publicly the way he did.

Other people have arrived with chips on their shoulders of various kinds, and developed into valuable members of the community, after some pretty ugly argy-bargy in the forums.

I think Mo could, too, on the evidence of the past day or so.

Time will tell, but it would help if people could try to read each of his posts on its own merits, without the past baggage as much as possible, and respond accordingly.

If you wish, of course - nobody is required to forgive anybody in my Universe. wink

I think a permanent change is unlikely from the third worst poet in the universe.

I have seen a change like this from him before . Several times - switching from insults to compliments.

We shall see. After a month or 2 of reasonable behavior I will hopefully eat my words.

No requirement to forgive anyone in my universe either.

An unrealistic goal in my opinion.

It's ugly of you to come in with "THE CHRISTIANS’ WATCH-WORD (PART 1)" lamenting beggerly. Asking for phone number and email address are regarded as scamming and spamming. It will not work here!!! Do not redicule yourself here because your stay here is slim and very short.

Learn not to be abusive. I expect you to exhibit the nature of Christ in all that you do regarding your thread! Humilty is vital and rewarding, you see HubPages is made of sound minded and loving people. Hope you take corrections and be in the right form and image.

We learn from each other everyday Mark, It's quite interesting when you meet different people with different characters, The guy in question has the opportunity to learn better since he admited that he made a mistake but needed to use right words... Hahaha
