Why do so many smart women choose men who can’t or won’t love them, commit to them, and create a good life together?
Lack of good judgment and lack of self love. Been there, done that, learned from it, evolved, and am much the wiser nowadays and in a beautiful, loving, supportive commitment with my mate. I really think, that many of the younger women of today are much more savvy and aware than the women in my generation, so wouldn't be as attracted to the wounded guy.
I am not sure because I have never been attracted to men like that.

oh am sorry i just love to collect ideas:) thanks for informing me
I wouldn't say women are attracted to men like that because of those specific qualities. The clue lies in the title - "The Wounded Guy". What attracts you to other people?for me it is eyes full of compassion, a face with strong character, strong hands and someone who has strong values and morals and strives to live up to them.
