A hubpages member is emailing people to get people to view his hubs.

This is also someone who copies his text from wiki and republishes here.

Either one is annoying and a thumbs down hardly seems sufficient.

Any way we can report that besides crying about it in here??

    Isabella,

There's an email on the "help" page for contacting hubpages and that's how I report these sorts of things.

And yeah, I've got this same bad apple's email in my in-box this AM too....

Why don't you post the proof here? Or, better yet, forward it to either of Pauls directly?

I have the email address but was kind of hoping they could make a flag button to actually flag a user, and not just a hub.... There are a lot of spammers who don't have hubs to flag..

Misha, I didn't post it here because I don't want to promote his links for him.

I came on to the forums this morning specifically to see if anyone else had commented on these emails...as I got one today also.

It is annoying.  I would like to flag it as well.

Great idea Jimmy.  I didn't even want to give the guy a pageview...but, if it is the way to flag it, I will.

I'd still like to see an option to flag a hubber without having to flag a hub (since many spammers dont even have them), or without having to post in the forum or email admin.

I don't like the idea of outing people in the forums as that does provide them with the attention they are desperately seeking.

I do flag hubs and thumb's down them when they have hubs.  And I email the HubPages team when they don't.

The author in question will not be able to use the "contact this author" feature any more, and his new hubs will have to be reviewed before being published going forward.  It may have just been a case of irrational exuberance brought on by pride in that hub.  We're going to give him the benefit of the doubt this time anyway (in so much as not banishing him altogether).

Thanks Paul for your quick action, I have recieved mail from him before but didn't realise that he was also sending it to other authors on hubpages until i saw this forum thread, if i had known i would have reported it alot sooner.....jimmy
