    Being unloved. Loving families have got through horrendous poverty, but the child who is unloved is starved emotionally. That's truly awful.

      I agree. often their greatest danger is in their own home.

      if not and they are lucky and fortunate, the greatest danger can be online or across the street.

      as someone else also mentioned, ignorance. children need to be nurtured and taught, and taught how to think and make good choices, it doesn't just happen. hmm

    In terms of their health, I will agree with food. I will also put it to you that children need some place green in which to kick a ball around, fly a kite, play cricket, whatever. In some places in the western world parks are shrinking, even disappearing. This not having a place to hang out and smell the grass isn't good for either their mental health or physical health. Obesity can best be tackled when the child is young and kicking a ball around is fun.

    Bad Parents are the most dangerous thing to kids. Anyone can have a kid but not anyone makes a good parent.
