I've noticed a number of Hubs advertising the above - it has all the hallmarks of so many affiliate scams.  You buy an ebook (limited time available) and get the 'magic code' which you insert on your site.

Just like adsense except huge amounts of cash are supposed to roll in.  The reality appears to be unless your traffic is huge you get nothing.  If you think its a scam then flag them.  If its top secret why is everyone trying to sell it?  The only magic is this scam removes cash from innocent people's pockets!

I think in HP nobody is going to read those kind of hubs. But they may get out side traffic to these hubs they may fall into this big_smile

Unfortunately Hubbers do respond to these scams.  I'm concerned that HubPages hosts this kind of stuff though I appreciate it is difficult to remove them all - particularly if they meet the guidelines.

Apparently you need a huge amount of traffic before you earn a cent but the affiliate sellers on hubPages and elsewhere don't mention this important detail.  Some of the sellers claim it works on ANY website for anyone.  It annoys me that HubPages is being used to scam people.  You don't find out the truth until after you've bought the ebook.

Unfortunately there are so many marketing tutorials out there at the moment that provide a process map on how to promote your site affiliate etc..

Such processes include squidoo lens' and hubpages. The persons posting to hubpages are simply following a marketing technique.

The problem is that us hubbers find that a little offensive as it becomes intrusive and devalues what we are trying to achieve here.

The staff at HubPages is definitely on top of these issues!

Hey Rik, can you post a few links to what you're talking about or send them to Maddie at team@hubpages.com? That way we can take a better look at what you're talking about.

    Thanks for the head up!

    Exactly.

That's why we all need to really help flag any content that we think shouldn't belong, because in the end it will do nothing but cheapen the experience and fun that we're all creating on HubPages.

    Every little bit helps!
