Please refrain from further badgering, insulting, belittling and harrassment of other Hubbers in this forum section, viral.
Thank you.
Please cast the blame where it belongs. It was me that was the victim of insults and threats. I have simply state logical conclusions, based on the facts of the thread. If you disagree with my logic, please feel free to discuss that with me. I am more than willing to do so. However, if you want to single me out and accuse me of doing wrong things, I will repsond accordingly. You are wrong.
Let's examine that. I have made a conclusion based on the facts of this thread. If you conclude otherwise, show me why. I have been immersed in the details of this, so I am better able to judge than you, on the surface. So, I can simply wait for you to back up your accusations against me. If you give me more prejudiced responses, not facts, I will classify those statements for exactly what they are.
Does that make sense to you?. If statements are deserved, they should be fairly and accurately reported. Otherwise, more injustice will likely continue. That is exactly what I say happens frequently. I encourage your informed replies, if you wish to make them.
However, do not think you can silence me from saying the truth. I say that I have stated 100% truth. You are free to say I am wrong, but you need to prove it, since you started this.

Let's start with the fact that you responded to this thread in a very big way on page one with insistances that Mark should not post as he does.
By page three, you had argued with several people - in a most closed-minded way, up to and including calling out yours truly for bringing her opinions into a thread that was "territorial and defensive" (but was only territorial and defensive to you, who seems to be cut to the quick by any display of rivalling opinion by anyone who thinks one iota differently than you.
Now here, by the time we've gotten through six or so more pages, you've managed not only to insult everyone who has replied to you in this thread in some fashion or another, but you honestly make me sick to my stomach.
I am disgusted by anyone who, in the name of their religion, abandons all tenets of courtesy and decency to attempt to defend their religion via heated debate. Ad hominem attacks are not key debate points, by the way.
The Christ does not need your defending.
The way is narrow - or rather, as the passage goes:
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Separation of Church and State. If this doesn't settle it - nothing can.

Here's another couple for you to consider.
A hot-tempered man stirs up strife,
but he who is slow to anger quiets contention.
—Proverbs 15:18
Be not quick in your spirit to become angry,
for anger lodges in the bosom of fools.
—Ecclesiastes 7:9
"Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State."
Thomas Jefferson 1802
You need to understand America, Mark. We are e democracy. I have repeated over and over that Jefferson was the one who was in the minority. He lost every battele with the rest of the founding fathers. They voted him down over and over. His writings were never enacted, as was the 1st amendment which totally contradicts that one man's writing. As I sdaid earlier, Hitler was a man who wrote stuff, too. It was not enacted into law. Jefferson spoke as a man with one opinion, and the 1st amendment showed that he did not prevail.
They were clever weren't they?
No doubt to satisfy the pushing demands of the various church groups, they offered to write into law that the state and church would forever be separated.
It never occurred to those freethinking christians that this would necessarily have to be a two way street
You have to admire it.
Edit - this was not a response to vd.
Thread closed. Too many personal attacks here. If you want to keep debates like this open in future, please refrain from insulting each other.

I just read a post from someone stating that Christianity is based on the Bible which stands to reason, "If Christianity is based off the bible then that means it would have never come to furition since the book would never have been written because no Christian would have existed before...

If Jesus never wrote anything why is the New Testament the basis of Christianity? If Paul wrote 2/3 of the New Testament is Christianity not a Pauline invention since Jesus wrote none of it?

Why does it seem most Christians are immature. It seems most people professing to be Christian do not have a proper grounding in the scriptures. They drink the milk but do not seem to be able ( or maybe no desire?) to eat the real meat- understand the deeper things of God, in spite of the fact...

In Christianity, do non believers go to hell? What happens to the people that believe in another religion and another God. If the Christian God is the only true God, then are those people damned?

Topic: Difference Between Christianity and Religion Christianity is unique in the fact that it is the ONLY faith which is not a religion- as a 'religion'- by definition means "to be bound" by rules and regulations and rituals in order that one MAY attain salvation....

Can only Christians and those who accept Jesus Christ go to heaven?According to Christianity, only those who have openly accepted Jesus Christ and the Christian faith may go to heaven. If that is the case, what about the African tribe who has never heard of of Jesus? Even if they are good people,...
