Since I'm fairly new I'm still wondering about all the techy stuff, keywords, SEO, SERPs, backlinks, trackers, etc. Still trying to weed through it all. I wrote what I thought was a good hub but something isnt quite right, not much traffic or a very high score. So for future hubs any suggestions on making a "better" hub?

It looks good to me, remember traffic takes time though, and you might want to create a few related hubs and link them all together smile

Here is a cool tool I just found out about last night. It is amazing!

      http://www.articleunderground.com/webma … -tool.html

Just copy and paste your URL and it will give you amazing info. Using this info to edit will improve your score, (not overnight though two days is more like it)
On this page make sure to highlight the http that is already in the box before pasting or it won't work right.

Green is good, and orange is where you can improve.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your hub. Maybe it's just not a very busy subject.

Your hub is good in terms of writing ability - very good. But unfortunately the hub score doesn't necessarily reflect writing quality. Though you'll want to write good content, it's more about the amount of visitors you get to your pages.

It also takes time for a hub to mature - in my experience it's usually 2-3 months before it starts to get a lot of google traffic. So patience is essential!

To get visitors make sure that before you start writing your hub you find out what search terms people are using for the topic you want to write on and find a good one. Try my step by step guide: http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Make-Mon … ges-Step-1

thisisoli, excellent suggestion. Thank you. So a good rule might be to not only link to external sites but my own as well?

Jean... yes there is always that. My top visited hub is top 10 ways women want to be kissed. So I guess its a matter of interest also. Thanks for the reply.

Some of your tags aren't very relevant.  Remember, a tag should be a word or phrase that really describes the focus of the Hub and if used by someone searching, would mean they get good info on that subject when they find your Hub.

I'd suggest getting rid of "gloria steinem" and "mississippi river festival" as those are not topics about which your Hubs provides good info, they are just incidental mentions in the text.
