Ok, it may be that it's past my bedtime, but
Are Google keywords and tags the same thing??????  Or are the keywords words that you work into your articles??
    I'm lost!

No they are not exactly the same thing.

A keyword, or keyword phrase, is what a user types into a search engine when they are looking for something.

Yes these are the same keywords you would try to work into your hub in various places like the Title, URL, Tags, Summary Text and in the main body of your hub.

By having a web page or hub that includes these keyword phrases along with the proper Search Engine Optimization, SEO, techniques you can rank highly and get these users to visit your hub for free.

On hubpages you can add your keyword phrases to your hub as "Tags". Tags will list your hub on special pages within this web site with other similar hubs that also contain the same tag at least once.

    Like for example: http://hubpages.com/tag/photos/hot
This page is for the tag "Photos"

      Seconded!

And make sure you don't overdo the keywords. You don't have to repeat keywords again and again in the body unnecessarily, if you have them in title,URL and headings.

I think you are looking at kaywods the wrong way, you should decide your keywords before you even start writing.

Keywords should be in the text, in titles, and in the tag box.

A keyword in your hub is just the words you want your hub to appear in google for when people search for your keyword term.

YOu have to use SEO techniques based around hte keyword to get it there smile

Thanks, this does help!  I am still learning, so I appreciate all the help I can get along the way.  Still learning about SEO techniques, but everyone was talking about keywords and SEO, so I was getting a bit confused
    Have a good Weekend Everyone
