I have a phone interview tomorrow with a guy who advertised in the local paper for a CSR person. So far everything has been handled by email but he did send me an email explaining what the duties would be and the service they provide.
He markets for the selling of phone cards through two different sites. I have looked at the sites and see that there are several levels from which he could have set up to be an affiliate. My guess is he bought into it to have his own online store and now needs the CSR people to handle incoming calls, questions, process orders, etc.
But do you think there is enough money in this to hire three to five people to do this type work?
If you are going to work on a commission, you have to make a certain number of sales first, before and if you are getting paid.
I f you are going to work on a salary, he has to be selling smth. else too in order to make extra money to pay you.
If I had a choice I would never take a commission job - very hard!
Clearly that's something you will need to find out during the interview as everyone here can only speculate.
And if he's doing "straight pay no taxes" most likely you are going to be an independent contractor not an employee, so make sure you are clear on that too.
He is offering straight pay no taxes. Invoice him for work done every two weeks and then you get paid the following week after that so every two weeks once you get past the first two weeks.
What I am wondering really is if any of you in the affiliate marketing world have heard of this level of marketing and do you think he could be making enough money from it?
It screams of scam to me so will do the phone interview with him tomorrow and see how that goes.
From what the email said once he makes his choice from the phone interviews there will be a follow up face to face interview and then final selection of candidates. The final selection then will go on to being trained. No mention of pay during training phase.
That is why I brought it to you all to see if you had the same reaction I was having.

Ads were disabled on this new hub I wrote because of the automatic filters. However, there is no adult or offensive content here that would fall into the list I read in the FAQ. I did use the word "lovers" once (as in "music lovers"), and took it out in case that was the...

Authoring Hubs is about sharing and spreading ideas. Most of what we do is word-based, and a capsule to show off related Zazzle stuff would be an eye-catching way to allow readers interested in those ideas to buy products which celebrate them, such as relevant designs, graphics, statements,...

This morning I posted "Roles That Makes Cousins Special." I really thought that I had done a good job, only to receive a HubPages notice that the quality is substandard. I have gotten this notice before, and have been able to figure out the problem. Not this time. ...
