How do I do a unique web address, I'm not understanding how that works...I'm really new and trying to publish my first hub, once I figure out what I'm doing...

you mean web address in hubpages? maybe you need to elaborate a little on this.
Okay I see your point.
So you made a hub, with the title that you want.
Hubpages then uses the same title to make a UNIQUE web addrees.
But the problem is somebody already made a hub with that same title and so your web address is going to be the same one as theirs.
So when you see a message like this:
Please fix these errors before continuing:
The web address you specified has already been taken. Please try another one
Go to the space that is highighted in pink, change a letter or add more words or just do something so that it will be different from the first guy who has first dibs on that web address.
Had that happen to me & was stumped myself, but that's how I went about it.
one of mine looks like this www_hubpages_com_how-to-write-a-poempart2
good luck and welcome to hubpages.
Your "web sites" within Hubpages are your Hubs. To create your first hub, go to:
http://hubpages.com/hubtool/create/name/
Pretty good advice. Perhaps your problem is resolved. I want to add some.
URL is important for SEO. So chose your URL carefully. It will be better if it has some key words related to your hub.

I have a hard time reaching above 75 points on my QAP assessment. I have no idea what else to do. I made sure my text is correct, stylized and broken into digestible chunks, bold only on important phrases, headings, sub-headings and other formatting techniques used. Since I had a lot of images, I...

I just updated my HubPages profile a couple days ago and in my profile linked to some of my favorite hub topics that I wrote about. Is this bad to do this since on the profile page we have those same hubs randomly come up below? I just don't want overkill but like the thought that I've got my...

I'm very timid when it comes to change if the change is not one of my own choosing, even if it is good change. Moving to HubPages was an upsetting experience for me, mainly because I felt the place we moved from would find a way to mess it up or that HP would treat us like illegal aliens.Only...

I would appreciate if Staff would tell me whether GamerGirl and Whitney, both of whom have chosen to crawl through all my output (output which staff courteously restored after I had totally deleted it on my sabbatical) and repetitively downthumb and flag me, have been assigned by staff as my...

Hi seasoned Hubbers. What does it mean when someone approves your comments on his/her hub, responds to them, then later removes your comments? It this acceptable behavior? It sure does make the string of comments that remain (only the hubber's own and those that agree with, them) read like a giant...
