Breat Enlargements - Has anyone else had theirs done??

   Okay, So im currrently saving to get my breasts enlarged next year (2011). I know where im going, ive seen the results a girl i know got her boobs done at the same place, and they seem really really good.
   The reason im getting them done as since ive had my daughter (9months ago) My breasts arnt as full and perky as they used to be, also ive lost 10kg now im 57kg, and lost alot of weight from my boobs, i went from a D to about a B cup... So im just replacing what i lost to give that fullness back.
   
   My question is, Has anyone here had there breasts enlarged, or know anyone who has? How was you're experiance, and the healing process. I just want to hear some stories about how others went through the process, Im alittle nervous, I've never had an opperation, having my daughter was my 1st ever time in a hopsital and it was no complications so ive never really experianced anything surgical related.

      Are you getting htem enlarged or lifted?
      
      A lift is a lot safer and doesn't require quite so much maintenance, but it might not give you the exact effect you want!
      
      Don't worry about the hospital, it is the best place you could be, since you will be surrounded by people who are trained to deal with things going wrong.
      
      There is someone else with  a thread about getting a boob job though, you might want to talk to them!

         This sounds logical, but hospitals are a great place to get a n antibiotic-resistant infection. I have known people who died in hospitals-- though they were there for non- life threatening- procedures.

         Im getting implants, i got nothing to lift haha, they arn't saggy its just muscle.. and im not happy with how they are proportioned to my body, as ive got curves...

   The answer to your question is "yes".
   Other people have had it done... with various results.
   
   I personally can't understand why people would have any unnecessary surgical procedure inflicted on themselves. I've had my ears pierced, but that is all for me.
   
   You will probably have to sign a form that says if you die as a result of the procedure, they are not liable.  Even if very few die, or are disfigured or suffer from infections-- this should at least make you pre-consider all of the risks and  be sure you are OK with the odds.
   
   You might also ask yourself if you have a better  use for the money-- especially if you have to save up for it.
   
   This is just an insignificant opinion... but you asked.

   Im getting implants.. not a lift.. i got nothing to lift, its all muscle.. I don't feel attractive so its something im willing to do for me so i can feel more like a woman and wear tops that fit ect..
   And yes i understand the risks ive read up alot about it.
   
   And of course anyone could have better things to spend money on, You only live once, and this is something i want to spend my money on. im not rich im sure any normal person would have to save up $8000. Its something i want for me, Like i said you only live once, so you might as well love the body you're in.
   
   And that girl who is talking about getting her boobs done is getting it done to please guys. Stupid, its a complete different reason to why im getting mine... Its for me and me only.

      Remember implants have to be replaced or removed every several years.

         So every 5 years in your whole life you are going to the hospital, get anesthetic, that is bad for your heart, risk your life, health, as any operation is risk,  leave your daughter behind, to be sick though temporarily???
         I do not think it is a smart or mature idea. Only if you are cancer patient, it may be justifiable. Other than that: vanity, nothing but stupid vanity. Buy a good bra, they make absolute amazing ones, just look for it. And put aside your money for your daughter's education. You are Mother now.

            Yeah, what Home Girl said.  Sorry.  I can understand your desire to go back to how you were "before", but if I were in your position, I wouldn't take the risk - I hate hospitals at the best of times and the very idea of going under general anaesthetic for anything other than an essential procedure just freaks me out.

   Wish I could give you some of mine! Remember, it's not easy carrying around big boobies all the time. It's not like you can take them off when you want to.

   A friend of mine did get hers done and she was happy with it. She did it for herself, she's always felt that her breasts were small and she waited awhile before she got the breast enlargement and she was very sure that she wanted to go through with it.

   UW -- Good for you! How was it? Did insurance pay or was it considered "cosmetic" surgery?
   And Habee -- I'm with ya on that. Take mine, please!!! LOL.
   
   Too bad there isn't a "boobage donation" option as there is for people to donate their organs.
   I'd be thrilled to be a C again, or even a B!
   
   Or happy to have mine lifted (would take a very strong hydraulic) even if not reduced.

   If I "needed" breast implants, I wouldn't get them; ever. Having two foreign bags of fluid in my body that could get painfully dislodged or leak at anytime would raise major concerns.
   
   You also need to get the implants replaced every once in a while. I have a friend who wishes she never had the surgery. You could buy a lot of fantastic and luxurious lingerie with padding for the surgery price and maintenance costs.

    I just want to voice another opinion, and also disagree with a few of the doomsday prophecies you've gotten.  I think getting your boobs done to be a pornstar or impress people is sad...but guess what?  That's not the only reason people get them done.  I wanted to feel normal- i went from being a AAA to a modest, normal looking B/C and I couldn't be happier!  I've had them NINE YEARS and have never had one single problem! Of course I wish I had real boobs instead of these, but I had NOTHING on my chest and I grew up getting teased and wondering if maybe I had some weird hormones inside me or something.  I was depressed about feeling like there was something wrong with me, like I wasn't a real women, wondering why I was the only one who didn't get boobs you could see from a profile view!  I don't know if there is any medical research to back this up, but I was running x-country 3-6 miles a day during my puberty years and everyone thought I was anorexic.  I wonder if I just didn't have enough body fat during that time when my boobs should have developed?? But the point is, I have never once regreted these implants.  I don't like people to know about them, I don't show them off, but my clothes fit great, I feel great about my body, I can wear all kinds of styles I never dared to before.  I didn't want to be seen in a leotard at 16 (cuz i couldn't pad it like i did all my sports-bras), so I never fulfilled my dream of taking ballet as a teenager...but I no longer felt embarrassed after the surgery, and I finally started ballet. It was so nice to be able to buy any kind of bikini, comfortable bra or fancy dress etc. without worrying about how I would be able to pad it.
    
    The surgery was scary and painful, the recovery time is at least a month.  You'll either have to tell everyone you know that you are very very sick, or tell them the truth. They say that people who get plastic surgery are looking for happiness in the wrong place, but I'm here to say that for me it was completely worth it and I am so happy I got it done.  Good luck!

    Well I guess I'll chime in since there are so many negative replies.....  I've had mine for 11 years and have not had them replaced yet.  I have saline though...silicone was banned at the time I got mine.  My best friend and I both got them the same weekend.  She had absolutely no problems with the healing process...I had my left one redone three times.  It was a bit of a nightmare but it was also my own fault because I started running again too soon and the implant turned, was redone, got infected....kind of a mess.
    
    Now...I am absolutely ready to get them out soon.  I'm tired of them, I've gone through my phase and quite honestly I can't wait to actually be natural again.  I don't think anyone should steer you either way, nor should you base your decision on anyone else.  Just make sure it's something you want and that no one else is influencing your decision.
