I have discovered many hubbers are not familiar with internet jargon such as IRL, troll, and more. Those of you suffering from this condition please tell me what phrases and words are unfamiliar to you so that I might espouse the wisdom of the interwebs.

    Umm what is IRL?

IRL: In Real Life. Refers to a harsh alien world theorized to exist outside of the internet and the events that take place there. This is where children are told their loved ones who are now offline have gone.

I believe link baiting is setting up a link with propoganda so more people will click on it but I am not sure. That is more of a technical term than I am qualified to answer.

Here I can help you - it is creating a piece of content that other people are likely to link to. Like - umm - a quiz "How dumb is your ex" or something like this. smile

How 'bout one of those silly ads that looks like an email announcement and reads, "Someone has a crush on you! Find out who it is!"

          Does that qualify?

Nah, you can call it a click bait prolly, but that's pretty much it. smile

Link bait is a page on your site that people in quantities link to voluntarily - post on forums and blogs, bookmark, etc - so you don't have to build backlinks yourself. You hub can qualify too smile
